Well if the predator in this is like the other two Preds in the other movies then we should have some great pred killing animal action. Remember a pred is a single hunter by natire like like dogs aliens strength is pack hunting mantality

Its too bad there isn't a movie where we have Aliens v/s Predator and Terminator. I would so watch that movie. Well being he is one predator they are not likely to kill him off like they killed off the predators in the first alien v/s predator.

Whilst we're on this subject, Aliens Versus Predator Versus RoboCop Versus Terminator. What a joyous mess that would be.

Even better...

Aliens Versus Predator Versus RoboCop Versus Terminator Versus Rambo Versus Shaq.

OMGz, I totally lovez the new name!!!

Maybe they'll highlight the 'S' so people notices it's a different movie :p Or maybe they'll add a '2' to the AVP logo to distinguish it from the first

I like the 'sole Predator' concept. The xenomorphs in Aliens had both a horror and action element when applied en masse with the Queen serving as a good cryptic climax, yet the power of the Predator lies in his singularity and ability to function like a organic-technological myth given life. The first film was a mess due to a poor choice of scenario (the Antarctic as a proving ground for Yaujta...?), a horrid backstory involving Weyland's company knowing way too much way too far ahead and an induced Ice Age, a lack of any iconic characters worth caring about, and head shield antics that only third graders would think as cool. All of that, and some of the worst attempts at a crossover battle that actually interprets both sides' abilities well that I've seen in any flick...ever. I'm REALLY hoping for a much-better film this time around.

So there's only gonna be one Predator?

I'd like to see a Pred film where humans travel to their planet, that'd be cool

The biggest change this sequel should have is that
the predators should actually have humans on their target lists alongside the aliens. No more of this AVP 'we only kill humans when they're in our way' crap. cough*Weyland*cough.

I'm probably alone on this... When I picture Predators, I picture them almost as nomads. They have a big relative crafts (Like in AvP) and each family has their small vessle (Like in the predator movies) that they go to hunt in (with pods they can enter the planet with only one or two predators.) and they only use their home-planet for rituals and stuff like that.

Well if the rumored synopsis is true....

The Pred-alien seen at the end of AVP runs rampant on the Predator ship, causing it to crash back down to earth. Before all the Predators are killed, they send out a distress signal. This signal summons a lone Predator, specialised in killing Aliens, to eliminate the new Alien threat.

......then the sole purpose of the Predator coming to earth is to kill the rampant Aliens. Predators are honorable creatures. If it's his assignment to strictly kill Aliens, then he should have no interest in killing any humans, unless absoluetly necessary.

A Predator kills for PRIDE! Thats what he should do in this new movie. Its his duty to restore the pride of his fallen comrades. And if humans tend to cross his path he should just kill them or leave them alone.

Predator 1 and 2 showed us a Predator isnt a mindless killer. He doesnt harm humans who pose NO threat to him. Lets hope this is just the case in the new Aliens vs Predator movie.

eh, so be it. I just didn't like the predator-human teamup at the end of AVP. Of course, that's just me.

Neither did I.

Can someone explain the difference between the movie we all saw in Cinema's and the movie thats supposedly called the "Directors Cut?" or ... a cut that show more gore? Whats the difference between them? I'd like to know ... as in what scenes showed more?

I always kinda wanted to see this sPinoff...

If your referring to the unrated version, then there's a few insignificant minutes added. There's a feature on the dvd that shows you what scene is new by having a symbol appear on the screen to let you know. It's just a few minutes. It's nothing really to brag about and nothing that i would call 'gore', either.

hey guys, great, logical title. I'm glad the strauses got rid of the "survival of the fittest" sub-title...and most likely, that whole subtext from salernos early drafts. Rest assured, the predator will be killing humans this time around, mac-style.

UPDATE: Previously the directors have said that the upcoming comic-con in san diego would be a "big event" for them. Greg Strause recently confirmed that the trailer will appear online too around the same time....25 days to go!

Wouldn't it be great to get Peter Cullen (Optimus ****ing Prime himself) to voice the Predator again? That's right, Cullen voiced the Predator in the original Predator movie, and now that TF will probably be the biggest thing this summer, Cullen's name should be on fire around tinsletown.

so i'm late getting to this thread. sorry if this is a repeat question, but does anyone know if we might see a predalien?

It has enough blood (CGI Blood or fake blood used on camera) to be R. Still light when compared to Predator and Predator 2 though.

AVP2 creature!

A super-sweet first look at the Alien/Predator hybrid that we can expect to see whuppin’ some ass in AVP 2 this December. If you’ll remember, at the end of ALIEN VS. PREDATOR, our fallen Predator hero (we WERE supposed to root for him right?) was revealed to have been impregnated by a facehugger, hence, one of the little buggers escapes though his ribcage and gives us a scary How-do-ya-do! right before the movie mercifully comes to an end.

Well, our little baby’s all growns up, and he’s actually looking pretty nifty. It isn’t really a radical design, and he’s obviously more Alien than Predator - though he’s still rockin the dreadlocks (see below).

I’m still skeptical about this flick - but in addition to not having Paul W.S. Anderson behind the camera, it now has this cool beastie going for it. I’ll keep an open mind.

Here you go

thats just fan art. Its a cool maquette, and I'm sure the predalien wont look a million miles different from that, but thats not the official look for the film.
