I think I'd prefer a new director for AvP3, but the Brothers should definitely return and be in charge of the action sequences.

i'd like to see the guy who did DESCENT or DOOMSDAY do AVP3; with bros strause doing FX and action

Aliens vs Predators vs Space Marines in space would be awesome.

I hope they bring the brother that directed the last one back, thier film was far superior to the first one.

I may be alone on this one but I would love to see an AVP movie with Godzilla in the mix. I'm talking about Japanese Godzilla. However, I'd want Godzilla to be CGI & not a guy in a rubber suit.

Btw, I didn't mean they'd actually have to fight Godzilla as he's too big for any of them to even think about fighting.

Back in the days (70's-80's) Turks and Italians used to take popular characters (mostly by the Turks only, Italians just took the plots) from Hollywood movies and make their own movies. 3 Dev Adam being one of the most popular ones; Captain America chasing down a killer Spider-Man.

I saw the unrated cut earlier today (I'm part of the staff on a AVP fan site). I gotta say...it feels like a much more different film. The theatrical cut was an F for me, but this is more like a C (simply disappointing/average). It doesn't do much for the Aliens beside make their special effects better, but the Predators seem far more competent and what they do add to the human side helps just a little to gloss over the bad acting.

I...very tepidly...endorse the Brothers Strause for an AVP3. Maybe I judged them too quickly based on that butchered cut I saw in the theaters.

Btw, I saw the very first Predator film for the very first time today (got the DVD from Target) and it was pretty good, a lot more intense and scary than I originally projected. They also had the first Alien movie which I wanted more than the Predator movie. I'll get it next time though.

I'd rank Predator below Alien, but that's not to say it's a bad film at all. I think it's a lot more intelligent than action movie buffs care to consider, and McTiernan's take on the material is far more serious than the cheese we got in Predator 2. That's why I liked the unrated cut; it makes the Predator a creature capable of depth instead of just a tall alien with a vagina for a mouth.

Man, I wanted to get Alien but my mom wanted to get the cheaper one which was Predator. I don't have a problem with owning the Predator movie but I won't feel at ease until I've seen Alien on the internet or until I actually own the DVD.

It's definitely a good film. I'd say Cameron's film makes up for the lack of action in the first one, but then again Ridley was going for horror rather than action.

If money wasn't an object, I'd suggest the Alien Quadrilogy. It includes a Director's Cut that has a faster pace and adds in the long-discussed "egg-morphing" sequence.
