sorry, but what should we talk about?
of season two? the development of the characters? enemies of next season? I agree, but maybe you have not realized that PROBABLY THERE WILL NOT BE A SECOND SEASON.
I'm not a troll, trust me, but let's talk about some news.
1. for CBS the show is too expensive
2. The CW is smaller than CBS, so is also too expensive for them
3. Some actors of the show (Calista? Chyler?) Do not want to go to Vancouver
4. Upfronts is in 10 days, but the show are stille renewed yet, also the show not officially announced yet

Find me a good thing in these news, I swear I'm a fan, and if you can calm me send you a virtual hug.
Talk about proving Kelly's point. I am all for allowing dissenting voices. I have been one more then once. But your post don't have any substance outside of hate.

You don't have conversations, you don't make good points. You repeat your rhetoric, tell everyone else how they are wrong, and make sure to quote any post where you can bounce your negativity off. Even in the face of at least a 51% chance Supergirl gets renewed. Because most of the trades are saying it is more likely then not. But you seem to want to ignore those completely.

The good news? Both CBS and WB are interested in getting a deal done. This type of back and forth in the press happens all the time when two greedy multi-billion dollar corporations are trying to squeeze each other for a few million here or there. But CBS wants the younger viewers and WB wants at least one beloved Kryptonian in the public eye. I'd be more concerned if there were silence.
There is always the chance that CBS decides to take their ball and go home. But that is a low chance, and both WB and CBS have the incentive to get this done. The vast majority of shows aren't Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, where the channel is begging for the chance to renewal.

But Because is still not renewed it's normal talking about If will be or not a season 2, the article on ALL the web talk clean..CBS don'w want pay 3 millions for episode and CW Can't pay 3 millions p.e., they prove to moving the production in Canada but actors don't want this...It's not troll or forced negative, this is the reality not for me, but for ALL the website..I don't think deadline, the wrap, newsarama, comic book resouces, **************, comicbook.com are ALL troll or haters

My patience is about gone...We have shown you time and time again, Variety probably the best in the entertainment business for information has said that the show is returning, EVERY ratings site has it as a lock or extremely probable, but you have chosen to not see any of that and have continued your type of posting.

It looks to me like it is a starring contest between WB and CBS and they are just waiting to see who blinks first, and opening offices now in Vancouver which now has more than one source saying this is an indication that CBS knows that their tax deal with California is not going through and no matter what the decision of WB they are moving on to come up with ways to cut cost. My take on it anyway.... :)

Where did Deadline say it was most likely to be cancelled? What sources do those non-trade sites have? Do you know? You think they know more then Variety?

You do know how negotiations work right? CBS was always going to want a better deal, same for WB, and you never come in with your best offer. This is exactly why they are considering reducing cost by moving where they film the show. Which may or may not happen. But even in the "worst case scenario" and they lose an actor or two, they still have a rather popular show which is built on the two lead sisters. This isn't Castle trying to squeeze one final season out without one of the two main characters.

The most obvious point of course is that if it were cancelled, it already would be cancelled. They are clearly trying to make it work. Whether that happens or not, no one knows. Not even those negotiating. But the idea that it is DOA is laughable at best.

I agree with you take Kelly. I did not know they had already opened offices. That is a pretty good indication that want this to work imo. You are are right about this being a question of who will blink first, which is why this is happening during the pilot showing season imo. That is always the trump card. Well we could just replace it with one of our pilots. Which is of course kind of funny when you consider we are talking about their best new show.

Yeah, I think WB is just as interested in keeping Supergirl as CBS. Got to keep some positivity in the Superman brand. And a network wouldn't like to get rid of their best performing new series of the season.

EVERY SHOW has these dealings, we just don't see them talked about in public as much as we do with this show. I have a feeling that right now "Criminal Minds" and "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (co produced by CBS and ABC) are in the same talks which is why ESPECIALLY "Criminal Minds" has not been put in the renewal column, even though it is one of CBS' best shows....we are just getting an insiders look at the craziness of the Studio business.

WB/CW can barely afford to make 16 episodes of LoT. I don't think they can afford Supergirl, especially after already renewing all their shows.

Yeah, CW has no room in their schedule. Which is a bit of an issue.

I'm not sure how all of this works, but I could see a joint solution between CBS and CW...

Do you mean WB Television, Kelly? If so, yep. As with the vast majority of negotiations, the idea is neither side walks away completely satisfied.

It would be a top performer on CW. It probably wouldn't out rate Flash but if it landed somewhere in between Flash and Arrow over there it would be renewed indefinitely.

If it falls much farther next season it'll be a tough sell for season 3 on CBS.

Moving to CW would be good for the show's longevity even if it would be bad for its overall exposure.

Agreed, the show would last longer on the CW, most comicbook shows have less than 4 million viewers, a number that gets you cancelled on CBS. The question is when Supergirl will go down to that level like it happened to AoS, Gotham, etc. Supergirl could easily survive on the CW with 2 million viewers, but the SFX and sets won't look as good.

I think CBS will keep the show by moving it to Vancouver, and if they get a good tax credit deal, 20+ episodes for Season 2. If CBS is not 100% satisfied, then a shorter season of 13-16 episodes, time will tell.

Somebody here better order me a megaload of Donuts because If I have to endure two more weeks of speculation on this topic, I will go INSANE!

I think the show is a lock to get renewed, I don't get anybody panicking about that. The issue will be with the budget cuts and my hope that the writing continues to get better and better. The show is better and decently likable most of the time but it's still skewing too young and silly for my taste and needs a good big bad for once.

I am curious, is there a villain you would suggest?

I think if they would totally make Max Lord BAD along with all the powers he has in the comics...that would be a nice arc.....but I'm ready to see what they do with Cadmus.

About the Deadline article, notice that the negotiations are between WBTV, DC Comics, and CBS. It does not include CW nor is it about moving there. I understand that CW has their Fall schedule full so moving Supergirl there is out of the question.

Since the issue is about budget and tax incentives, I hope Vancouver isn't the only choice for Berlanti and company.

My hope is that Supergirl gets a strong lead-in show again in the Fall such as Big Bang Theory.

Well, moving to Vancouver, may not have anything to do with moving it to the CW, only CBS filming the series there for tax incentives, as well as it being closer to the Flarrowverse to do crossovers which would help both CBS and the CW and the WB....it would be a win/win for everyone.

Also, I find it very telling that Variety has not picked up this story....as far as the CW move anyway. Not sure that SHH has even reported it.
