Supergirl All About The Ratings!!!!!!

Yep....it's doing really well in Live + 7 viewings...

If Flash is the most popular, Supergirl would be a close second.

It's not close at all

The Flash ratings this year:
1.26
1.05
1.04
1.04
0.99 (series low, Game 6 of World Series)
1.18

Average: 1.09

Supergirl ratings this year:
1.09
0.93
0.82
0.60 (series low, Halloween)
0.74
0.71
1.00 (will adjust down due to Monday Night Football pre-emptions)

Average: 0.84 (again, will come down due to MNF)

Aside from the two Superman episodes, Supergirl has scarcely been better than Arrow or Legends this season.

Flash is averaging almost a full three tenths more than Supergirl, which is a ridiculously huge margin on the CW.

Pre-downturn for last night, The Darkest Place provided the second highest rated episode of the season for Supergirl on CW.

Of course the numbers will be adjusted thanks again to the fools at Tribune pre-empting the show on KIAH-39 the show for the MNF game, which sadly Kel, the Texans lost to the much improved Raiders. But now with Thanksgiving this Thursday comes the rivalry among all NFL rivals, your VERY HOT Dallas Cowboys against the improving Redskins, now if that isn't as old school a rivalry as one can get, I don't know what is!

And once again the L+3 and L+7's will tick things up once those number come in, especially Kel with the L+7 numbers.

And if i have not done so, though it's early, I would like to wish Kelly and all the US members of the forum a Happy Thanksgiving. By the way, last night's episode aired on my mom's 78th birthday!! :yay:

Well, the Texans lost quite possibly to the refs being the 12th man...but I digress.

even with the adjustment down, this was a good number up against the finale of DWTS and a big night on The Voice.

Next week should bring in some great numbers...looking forward to the "Medusa" story line.

I know it wasn't the Guardian storyline that drew ratings.

The rating for Darkest Places was 1.0 and 2.84 million viewers. I wonder how much will go be adjusted due to Houston being pre-empted.

Adjusted down to .9 and 2.61 million viewers. Not bad at all! Highest-rated post-Superman ep thus far this season.

It's solidifying its position in the top two shows for the CW.

Next week should do even better as it kicks off the crossover. A 1.0 or even a 1.1?

Yeah, and that is with a preempt in one of its largest markets...DWTS finale, MNF with two top teams this season, and a big night on the Voice. Not bad at all....It should also get a nice +7 rating boost.

I kind of wonder how big the crossover bump will be. I mean, they are marketing it heavily, but its still the first show in the cycle. I could see Supergirl losing out compared to the others, which will get at least some "watched the previous day's ep, want to see what happens next, watches the next day's show they normally don't".

A 1.0 would be fantastic. Anything above that is gravy.

Arrow and Legends have been remarkably consistent. Supergirl is all over the map, probably due to Monday Night Football. Legends has held up pretty well against Thursday Night Football, but hopefully the Flash lead in gives it a little more juice.

Arrow's ratings are just a formality at this point. It's going a minimum of seven seasons, probably more. But it's still at well above network average, tied with Supernatural for 3rd overall.

Supergirl is the solid #2 right now.

It'll be interesting to see how all four shows react to the crossover.

Flash generally doesn't bump up much if at all in the crossover episodes, historically.

Generally, episodes with Flash appearing have been the highest rated in Arrow's history.

Flash bumped Supergirl significantly last year but a lot of that was probably just younger CW viewers jumping to CBS; it figures that Flash and Supergirl share a lot more of their audiences than they did last year.

Right now CW looks like this
Flash

Supergirl

Arrow and Supernatural
Legends of Tomorrow

Vampire Diaries and Jane the Virgin
Frequency and No Tomorrow
Crazy ex-Girlfriend

Big gains for Supergirl in Live+7 again!

"Changing" doubled in total gains and percentage gains, and increased by 69% in viewership.

Lucifer, Gotham, and Supergirl seem to perform better in delayed viewership than Arrow, Flash, and Legends.

Makes sense with Supergirl head to head with both Fox shows in different time zones. I personally don't usually watch Gotham, but here Lucifer is on at the same time as Supergirl and I almost always watch Lucifer live and then Supergirl immediately afterwards on the DVR.

Monday Night Football also made me DVR both shows when the Broncos were on, and considering the male skew for comic book shows that makes a lot of sense. Legends seems to be the #3 show in DVR growth among the DCTV shows, and it's also head to head against the NFL.

One thing I forgot to mention is that, in addition to this being the first time Supergirl has made an in-person appearance in another Arrowverse show, this will actually be the first appearance for Flash on Legends of Tomorrow. They didn't cross over last season (except for the setup that occurred for Legends on Flash), like Arrow did with Legends.

The chart shows that Supergirl is the #2 show for CW. 4th episode with the Fight Club was the lowest due to Halloween.

Neither Arrow or Legends have never been past a 0.8 rating in all their episodes so far. Supergirl's episodes 4-6 have been below 0.8 due to Halloween and pre-emptions.

I don't know how Supergirl's rating will do next week, but both Arrow and Legends' ratings will likely go up due to the crossover.

I myself watch Supergirl, Lucifer, and Timeless live on Monday and then watch Gotham with OnDemand after The Flash is over.

Supergirl got 1.0 in the preliminary ratings for this week's episode but adjusted down to a 0.9 after the preemption for football in Houston was subtracted. Which is still the best rating since the second episode of this season.
Supergirl should get at least a 1.0 next week because it doesn't look like Supergirl will get preempted in Philadelphia and Green Bay isn't that big of a market.

The preliminary is a 1.1, so that is nice.

Matches the premiere....so yeah, that is very good. :)

Pre-empted in Wisconsin for Monday Night Football. Possible downward adjustment.

Still a very good result.

Now we'll see if Flash gets any boost. It usually doesn't but this is a bigger crossover than ever before.

I have a feeling that Flash will get a boost....

It was Fox that got preempted in Green Bay. If anything it will hurt Gotham and Lucifer. And ABC in Milwaukee. So Conviction there.

Yeah, I've seen conflicting reports about preemptions but it looks like Supergirl is in the clear.

The unrounded preliminary rating is 1.135 so there is even a small chance of an adjustment up to 1.2.

Either way, this should be the highest unrounded number of the season. The previous best was the season premiere which hit 1.09.

Hopefully the new fans that watched aren't disappointed by how short and inconsequential the crossover was on Supergirl's part. Shame they had to deal with the midseason finale in the same episode.

For it to be a real "boost" for Flash it would have to bump into the low-1.3/high-1.2 range. Hoping for the best but I'm honestly expecting high-1.1/low-1.2.

Congrats to Supergirl. With that rating, this is what Supergirl would have drawn if not for the NFL pre-emptions and Dancing With The Stars.
