Watching Sleepy Hollow on Netflix for the first time in years, and you know what? This is an incredibly artistic and beautiful looking film. Maybe one of Burton's best. Some of the shots look like paintings.

This man should have his own thread, I say, I say.

I loved Sleepy Hollow. It definitely was very beautiful looking. The whole atmosphere was perfect. Always a must watch for me in October or around Halloween.

I loved the Tim Burton's Superman documentary and the concept art was incredible.

I think that movie would've probably been excellent. It's a laughing stock because of Nic Cage's involvement. Wrong casting in my opinion.

I love his Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film. More so than the original. Eat me.

Oh, go drown in the chocolate river, Augustus. :o

You ranked Corpse Bride over Batman?

What are you, a communist? :o

Only on the weekends. :o

I honestly feels both of his animated efforts are fantastic and criminally underrated. Outside of Todd, easily his best work since his late 80s-early 90s glory days. They capture his dark fantasy, with endearing characters, while telling coherent, heartfelt stories. I still love both of his Bat flicks, but they don't quite hold up post-Nolan imo.

Good choices Darth, I'd also add Nightmare Before Christmas to the list. Even though he didn't direct it, still.
I adore "Nightmare Before Christmas", but he did not direct it. Not enough credit given to Henry Selick, who has shown his talents as a stop-motion animation director.

I know he didn't direct. That's why I said in my post "even though he didn't direct it" haha :oldrazz:

Terry Gilliam apparently disliked Batman Returns and mentioned as being an example of Hollywood failing, i always found it odd, as that was a film that didn't exactly feel like the "usual hollywood film", it was an odd experiment that i think had more in common with Terry Gilliam's films themselves.

Terry Gilliam's an old pain in the ass. :o

Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorite films of all time, and one of the few that can make me cry just about every single time I see it.

Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes is the worst thing ever made by a human. Except for the bagpipes and Attack of the Clones.

I wouldn't even put it in the top 100 awful films I have seen. I wouldn't even say it is Burton's worst.

When I watch Batman or Batman Returns, sometimes I like to view them with a perspective of all the characters being original creations by Burton (and maybe some collaborators). I find it really enriches the movies, because the material is just so right up his alley. Burton was the guy for Batman.

Other then Batman being a homicidal maniac, I agree.
