The Dark Knight All signs lead to an amusement park confrontation

haha I agree with you on that but then again, what DONT fans writhe all over the place about? Costumes, capes, side kick or no sidekick, Keaton's hairline or height, Kilmer's lisp, Bale's over-the-top Bat-voice, muscle development... fanboys just whine. Period. The only thing they tend to not give a crap about is whether or not it's actually a good movie.
ain't that the truth

Yeah, I'm not really talking as much about Robin's details or whatever as I am about Wayne turning 40ish, maybe getting his ass kicked by a lesser man, and realizing that the war is going to go on without him on the front lines... all while he's raising a boy who's as driven and obsessed as he was. Could have an awesome feel of destiny to it.

Plus, like I said... the original Batman 89' DID feature a scene between Batman and the Joker at an amusement park... where Joker kills The Flying Graysons and young Grayson watches in horror, violently attacking the Clown Prince and sort of leaving Batman and Joker in awe at his strength.

i'm sorry for your loss. you should channel your grief and anger into a crime-fighting career..

If a reference like that is made (even if it's just a throwaway one), it'll be analyzed the hell out of, butchered, sliced into a dozen pieces, made into a 500 page thread of "i dont want robin in at!" and etc. etc...

I mean, come on. We've had threads about the Joker's knife for God's sake. Imagine a reference to the Flying Graysons.

You could always not click on them.

The scene was actually a little homophobic. I couldn't imagine it aging well.

But other than that, the Dark Knight riding on a Horse: Straight out of DKR!

... and also the one where Gotham is in chaos and Batman doesn't show up til like over half way through the book. Damn what's that title!

Get out of my thread! :oldrazz:

I dont know it kinda sounds like a batman beyond kind of storyline...

Which is not really bad IMO. AND it is inevitable for Bruce Wayne. With the right characterization of the heir to his mantle, it could work. But not an inobedient punk, that's too cliche.

The Killing Joke was the very first thing i thought of.. followed by The Dark Knight Returns.. followed by Phantasm!
