1920-1950's period fantasy films are a hard sell that's why I don't believe this report. Why would WB invite more box office obstacles? I know WB can suck but certainly they have learned some lessons from their failure in this genre.

If 1920s period pieces suck, Titanic wouldn't have made 2 billion.

It's all in the pitch and product. I like it if they have Ares working with Hitler which is why Wonder Woman's involved.

Was Titanic a FANTASY film? Furthermore James Cameron ain't directing Wonder Woman.

Fine. Titanic: period film, Avatar: fantasy film.

Guess who doesn't believe this story?

Bleeding Cool suck at movie scoops. I remember when they posted a MOS scoop how Superman would use a part of the building and throw it like a ninja star at Zod, LOL. And lately they seem to be going into overboard with their various ''scoops'' on different movies. Blah. When is that Snyder interview going live again?

Over-under on how many times Snyder says "um" and "like."

That had a giant TV scoop last year where they claimed a variety of shows were in production (like a Young Justice show on the CW).

Gross means nothing. Make a good film and people will see it. People will see a Wonder Woman film. While I question Gal's acting, in that SDCC photo she looks like Wonder Woman. Have Bigelow direct it also increases interest.

I'm down with WWII Wonder Woman.

I'm not familiar with Bleeding Cool but we got Teen Titans so maybe it was a mix up.

A WW film with war as a theme would make sense with Bigelow, but that is wishful thinking.

I kinda like the WW idea. It's like an added value to the concept: not just a superhero film, but a period piece (maybe pulpy, maybe historical/realistic, both could work) as well. And the idea of bringing WWII into it and the way it plays into the Amazons' role in history and Wonder Woman's ideals of peace, etc... sounds a'ight.

Side note: I'll be tuning into the livestream of DetroitWXYZ on my way home, I'll let you know if Zacks interview contains any good info..

would you be surprised if DC actually had this idea and leaked this to bleeding cool to gauge reaction.

Unless Conner is on that Teen Titans show I'm not watching it. So, I'm probably not going to watch it.

I am hearing the terms 1920's and WWII thrown around as though they were interchangeable... Sigh
