Adapting Moore's WHAT DO YOU GET FOR THE MAN THAT HAS EVERYTHING in some manner for a JL film fits that bill. Mongul can be uber scary at times. Seriously, the adaptation from JLU was so good and I could see that as a springboard for a JL film story. You get to take Superman out of the equation of the main plot for a good chunk, but he still gets a compelling and emotional sub plot of his own with the Black Mercy hallucination.

So John Stewart?

They should do a Green Lantern corps movie and incorporate all of them instead of focusing on just Hal.

Well it would be interesting to watch if done right.

On another note, one issue that I've seen some complain about is that even though Marvel is doing civil war, theyre using one of captain america's solo film instead of doing so in an avengers film where we'll less likely get a good amount of heroes to appear in order to show the full scope that the comics had gone for.

So this got me to thinking, IF DC and Warner Bros ever did a death of superman scenario, should it be done in a JL film where all of the heroes are sure to be there or should it be done in a solo film where you'll likely see less heroes show up if they stick with the whole solo film ideology?

Not focusing on the Corps. and Hal's interactions with the other Lanterns (which is where the character development happens) was one of the bigger flaws of the Reynolds GL film to my eyes.

Guardians of the Galaxy is pretty much real proof that you can make a space adventure between several intergalactic figures work in a comic book genre film

So John Stewart?

Let it go kid. Stewart wasn't even in that episode. Frankly, I think your anti Hal stance and Rorscach's "I am the only authority on GL" schtick are equally off putting.

Going back to MAGNIFICENT SEVEN and THE DIRTY DOZEN proved you could make pop corn entertainment with huge casts and still give every character their due.

The right way to start off a new thread.

This should help steer things in the right direction...

Everyone's so excited about the fight between Bats and Supes, but what I'm REALLY excited for is Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent meeting for the first time, just them shaking hands as two plain-clothes gentlemen. I think I'm more excited for that than anything else. It's going to be an out-of-body experience for me... it's never happened in live action, ever, television or film.

I can't wait for the first teaser.

Some folks still think we're due one with The Hobbit but I don't think so.

that terminator teaser tough, anyway back on dc.

Im really excited for that also, I love their dynamics, I and want to se chemistry beetween the actors.

Just as long as the Bruce and Clark stuff is NOTHING like the Timm-Verse crap.

I don't know how filling that teaser will be. The MOS one was pretty lean. Although that was after having watched the amazing Comic Con footage.
