^ I don't think you'll find anyone against the idea of Monica Bellucci. For anything. Anywhere.

Just curious, but did you guys feel like that Batman came off as a master of Martial Arts, based on what was shown of his fighting skills, in any of his previous films till now? Or did he just look like he was more of a brawler/sufficient in regular forms of martial arts?

So, Henry Cavill is Superman, Ben Affleck is Batman, Jesse Eisenberg is Lex Luthor, Amy Adams is Lois Lane, Lawrence Fishburne is Perry White.
And sadly, in the previous movie, Perry was not much of a memorable character, he's just the dry boss who helps his employees escape debris, none of Perry's charm rose in that film, I doubt we will see some in this one.

Master? None.
Batman Forever is probably the best showing his skill.

he was obviously a martial artist in BF. You could argue he was always in control of the fights in burton's movies. He wouldn't never waste a move, and when he moved, it was to strike hard.

I know you couldn't exactly see the skills in BBegins but I feel like that was the movie where he was the best fighter, I mean, in that dock scene it was like 20 vs 1 and he took down what was it, 4/5? of Rah's men. In BB and TDK he never really seemed to be out of his depth while fighting bad guys but it never really felt like he was a master of martial arts.

I guess it really helps when most of his armed opponents either trip and fall down on their own...or only use their guns to whack him with it as opposed to actually shooting him with it. :o:oldrazz:

And yeah, I'd say that "Batman Forever" was probably his best showing when it came to his fighting abilities/skills.

Every other film that he's been in, he came off as more of a Chuck Norris-lite Brawler imho.lol

Never mentioned Rises!! :cwink:

Master of the martial arts, no. But I don't recall films ever touching the subject of martial arts prior to BB.

Don't mistake it with fight choreography, though, it was definitely bad in Nolan's films, but it was the first time seeing Batman have any specific fighting style in the films. The whole "eight limbs" approach in fight reminded me of Muai Thai.

To me, he never once seemed like a master of martial arts. Not in any of the films.

All he ever did was straight up brawl.

I had a vision. And that vision was that the teaser drops in part 129. Don't believe me? I'll repost this when it happens.

This topic makes me mad, to be honest.

Batman Forever?! You all seriously need to rewatch that! He is about as skilled a fighter as in 66. He even does the old "someone bearhugs me from behind so I can kick two guys in front of me" routine.

He clearly was a master in Nolans films, if you like the choreography and the fight style or not. He regularly beats up 10 men at once! He never was able to in any other movie. In Burtons movies he stuggles aganst one guy and gets his ass handed to him.

You all mix up "did I like the fightscenes" with "is he a master fighter in the movie".
Seriously, the Nolan hate has gotten strong on the hype. Jeeeezus. If you really want those the Raid style ******** fights for BvS I REALLY hope you get disappointed HARD. Batman should never look like Jackie Chan.

I'm with Sam Jackson, John Wick had really good fight scenes. I'd be wanting something close to that.

I didn't..
I don't think anyones wants a Jackie Chan like Bats. Just one that can take out 10 guys, but look good. Not just talking about Bats' moves, the enemies choreography was terrible too, When you see guys flying out of frame like Bats' isn't even fighting the guy you need to change you fight choreographer, fast.

If you go frame by frame, sure, you tend to pick up stuff like that.

I bet most if not all don't see that on the big screen during the first viewing.

I just want him to fight like Nite-Owl and Silk Spectre in Watchmen.

He never wasted a move because he could barely move in that suit.
How I'd love for Bats to actually have a light cloth suit that he could move in. You could have him doing Parkour moves and tumbling along with some martial arts.

I don't think anyone wants Jackie Chan per say, but just more of Batman's traditional martial arts skill set. I agree that we got the best view of that in BB, but it wasn't as successful as it could have been. I'm looking for a level like in Watchmen I'd say; the prison fight scene is probably the best example of a costumed hero using a martial arts style fighting style. I mean there were brawler elements for sure, but several kicks were mixed in.

Even the fight with Ozymandias at the end had some good fighting as well.

Speaking of Spectre , I want to see him and the Phantom Stranger in the cinematic universe.

I personally don't want too many metahumans in this universe. For example, I don't like how many heroes Marvel currently brings on board. It makes it less grounded, makes the world feel less similar to ours and also with so many superpowered characters on Earth, the sense of any possible cosmic threat gets lost. It's also one of the reasons why I don't want big or overpowered Justice League.

You'll get Spectre in the second season of "Constantine". If we get second season of "Constantine" that is. :woot:
