If you want to hear a total misunderstanding of the convo, go listen to Campea's rant about digital vs film. Oh lawd.

So pretty much the same misunderstanding he applies to most everything else then.

My God, he's so awful and even more of an overt anti-DC troll than he was around here.
It's always fun to read his collected works. Hard not to see him for what he is in that format. Always a head scratcher that people defended it here.

Action Comics 643 is a great issue.
No Batman or Nightwing in that issue, just Superman, as it should be.

I'll go with at least Part 138.

I understand that they agreed with him that Man of Steel sucked and maybe when it came to other things but to willfully ignore the fact that he was a pathetic troll is baffling.

Some of his defenders I consider good posters, even though I disagree with them often, so the defense and continued defense is disappointing to me. I continue to wait for them to admit that their hatred of Mos and what DC is planning clouded their judgment.

I for one would like to work on/shoot a another feature shot on celluloid. But aside from the format debates, lenses keep getting better as well, which is doing even more to 'even the field', so to speak.

35mm Film>Digital personally.

Ideally I would as well, and trust me I've been around for a lot of the 'transition' even before Star Wars. But another 'problem' with digital vs. film these days is that if one never sees the film projected, and it's staying 'digital' throughout ll the way it whatever HDTV or even reference monitor you watch it on, then you're getting something that stays almost too clinical from start to finish. A well colored/processed digital to DCP physically projected adds that last bit of 'warmth' that really makes it the workflow 'worth it'...whereas film pretty much has that from capture. It's just that even consumer/home entertainment technology has advanced so much now that things still stay a bit 'pre-sweetened' all the way through.

A really good cinematic projection is still the fairest way to judge/compare the two. I remember the first time I supervised a DCP master and QC screened it...and it was like "Aaaaahhh yes...", and this was after spending nearly a year with the film....production, edit, post/mix/color, master...it really was that extra touch, and unfortunately to it's disadvantage even more that percentage wise it's not seen that way for many.

So I know this is a bit off topic, but my girlfriend knows the thirst is so real she bought me this for my birthday:
