So then I started looking at Age of Ultron and their marketing. The very first taser for AoU came out on Oct. 22nd. That's about 7 months (check my "Maf") before the film comes out. We know one year's out tasers are not the norm. So if WB follows the same formula then we'll see the first BvS teaser around July/August. SDCC is in July so they could release a full trailer then.
Of course WB may not follow this but the more I think about it the more I am not seeing them put it out this summer.
I think SDCC will be a big panel but I think we'll just get more character pics until SDCC.

Different studios handle things differently. MoS teaser was 11 months from the movie, and TDKR teaser was 12 months from the movie. I think comparing with same genre movies of the same studio is more reliable, even though Green Lantern and TDK released their teasers much closer to the release date of the movies (but TDK is too old and GL was a mess).

TDKR, MOS, and the first Hobbit had teasers released 11 to 12 months in advance. If they do release it at Cinemacon that's two days before the UK release of AOU and one week before the U.S. release.

Batfleck in motion has to be one of the biggest anticipations of this life. Next would probably be the Batmobile in action.

You are correct that every studio. MOS got released with TDKR...that made sense.

However look at the big upcoming films WB has promoted for this summer.
I wanted to see what they did for Mad Max but they put out the SDCC trailer...so it was one year out.
San Andreas teaser came out in Dec. 5-6 months before.
Pan teaser came out in Nov. 8-9 months before.
Man from Uncle teaser came out in Feb. 6-7 months before.

if they follow SA's plan the teaser will go live in Sept.
if they follow Pan....July...most likely at SDCC
if they follow Uncle....maybe August

I was thinking how we got a BvS teaser at comic con last year about 20 months ahead of release date. If they wanted to do a sneak peak that early again, that means they'd drop a Wonder Woman teaser THIS year at comic con, about 20 months out. Although they won't because I dont think filming starts anytime soon.
