Why Metallo?

It came out early that there would be Cyborg in the film.

They will likely establish a world where this human/robot technology can exist.

This is very intriguing news as you'll remember all the way back in October of last year Zack Snyder shot Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice footage at East Los Angeles College. It involved a football game between Gotham City University and Metropolis State University. At that time, fresh-faced newcomer Ray Fisher hadn't been part of the cast. As you'll remember, he was cast in April to play the role of Victor "Vic" Stone, who will later become Cyborg. Before Vic became the half-human half-robot superhero he was a football star. Seems reasonable to believe that these additional football scenes might include him.

it's probably been mentioned here before, but the shot where Bats rises out of the rubble looks like kind of like the background in the WW teaser poster.

I don't think Victor transformation will happen in BvS, but in JL Pt1

As for Cyborg indicating that Lex and robotics will be a part of the story, it could also be that Batman is responsible for the robotics technology seeing as how he is the one with a power suit.

Here are my thoughts on Dc movies gritty tone

The success of DAREDEVIL and TDK trilogy show that audience are open to gritty CBMS done right.If it isnt done right you get mixed response like MOS.

So tone is not a problem for BVS.Execution is what matters

Metallo would be the 1st version. it fails in the battle with the Trinity.

I didn't realize Cyborg was announced so closely to WW. That is rather interesting. The logic in Metallo as a villain is definitely sound, although I've been pimping this idea out for over 10 years so it could be wishful thinking. Green legs though with Scoot is also somewhat indicative.

Though it makes me think, what if Cyborg gets created by LexCorp, instead of S.T.A.R. labs? That would make Victor's struggle accepting his new body even more intense.

I've been watching the trailer, and everytime I watch it, the beginning part sticks out to me.

At 0:23; 0:24 seconds in, you hear a voice say "We are talking about" and right there we hear another voice real quick say "ALIEN" and then another dub and voiceover comes in.

That "ALIEN" keeps sticking out to me. Is that Ben's real Bat-voice?

I would say that is pretty early in the process though. I mean, compared to Jesse and Momoa casting for instance.

Either as a tease on the operating table at end of BvS with all showing the full surgery, or just straight up in JL.
