Those trade stories go back a month and both haven't come out and retracted the news.
Looking at that WW costume. It looks like it really inspired the Gal Gadot costume.I'm currently re-reading DC: The New Frontier and I wouldn't mind seeing this as the final shot in BvS:

Dawn of Justice... Figuratively and literally.
"It's possible that WB and Ayer are just pulling a prank on us and the tattoos are a celebration of the Joker's 75th anniversary."
"That's so stupid. WB would never do that."
"WB could have been leaking misinformation about Pine being Steve Trevor when he's actually up for Hal Jordan."
"Seems possible!"
Well, they did add their own sources had corroborated the same thing a couple months back, they just decided not to report on it.They didn't confirm anything. They were quoting what Latino Review said.

Studios are reluctant to openly place false information in the trades. It destroys the credibility of the trade and could hurt potential business deals. Everyone in Hollywood reads the trades for information about who is doing what where.
Example:
Let's say Paramount wants to replace Channing Tatum in the GI Joe movies. Exec asks who's hot right now. Someone says Chris Pine. Someone says "well Variety says he's testing for Steve Trevor in the WW films." Perfect they say...as a side character he is not going to be as locked away for the shooting of the film.
as opposed to say Green Lantern where he will be in JL and JL 2 and GL and any other film they need him to appear in.
If they contact him and find out he's actually testing for GL...it sours Paramount on getting news from Variety because they weren't up to date....and not being up to date is worst than lying in Hollywood...it means you aren't in the know and if you aint in the know....you aint no good.
Roach don't bring sense into this thread, It's unbecoming.
I would like that.
I find myself strangely attracted to that art style too and that WW character design. Very nice.
It's obvious that WB is playing with canon and making Steve Trevor the Green Lantern of the DCCU.

Obviously not, but I tend to trust Collider's insight more than most as they rarely delve into the scoop game and only post when they're confident.and have the trades corroborated this "latest news" about Pine suddenly playing Hal now?![]()
