If there's any Morrison/Darkseid story that needs to be adapted, it's Rock of Ages.

I don't think they'll have the balls to try and adapt any of Morrison's work. Just recently we were talking in the Batman solo film subforum how unlikely it is they'd ever adapt "Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth".

If they draw influence from any crisis, I am willing to bet that, due to involvement of Geoff Jones with the production, it will be the crappiest one - "Infinite Crisis".

I dont want the JL movie to be yet another Alien invasion. There are other possible routes
Other routes they could take for a JL movie not just invasion

1.Super war:Justice league forms in order to fight an army of Earths Supervillains and their shadowy boss.

2.Magic War:Justice league gets involved in a secret Magical war

3.Offplanet war:Justice league go to another planet to defeat a baddie.

4.Reality war;Baddie alters reality turning the universe into his.Justice league fights to return reality to normal

Those lines originated on radio. And in that medium, narration or (over-written :cwink:) dialogue compensated for the lack of visuals. But in movies, such utterances would come across as clumsy and heavy-handed. Superman Returns managed to include this bit of nostalgia in a cutesy way; but those opportunities are limited.

I always felt that Justice League films should essentially be SF at its core. And it would take place three films after MOS and the Kryptonian invasion so I wouldn't have problem with extraterrestial involvement.

Yeah, I always wondered how the **** can someone mistake a bird, plane and a guy in a blue suit...?

"Look up in the sky! You need better glasses!"

My guess is that there going to use the Justice Leagues origins from the new 52 in order to fully establish the league in the film

Btw with all the recent discussion here about the 'bird, plane, superman' here i probably shouldn't have even mentioned it at all

Well damn, EW can make a good cover

This guy really reminds me a lot of Darth Revan from KOTOR.

My villain wish for BvS would be Kalibak, to show that Darkseid is coming for JL.
Yes, I know its not gonna happen.

I like Infinite Crisis, it makes a heckuva lot more sense than Final Crisis did. (which is not saying much but still) Having the Monitors and Superman whistling to save the Earth then Batman shooting Darkseid to kill him...no thanks.

Rock of Ages sure that is an awesome story. Final Crisis was a waste of time and had a terrible ending.

With all of that said, why would you want the universe to end anyways?

That's a great cover because it looks like they used a still from the movie itself.

To each their own I guess. I found Infinite Crisis to be terribly written.

As for why I want this universe to end - well, to put it simply, I'd add to the good old "all good things must come to an end" and say for those things to be good they must end. Remember all those TV shows that overstayed its welcome and would be much better if they ended four or five seasons ago?

I don't want this to happen to DCCU. I want it to age well and for someone to be able to take out the DVD's and make a marathon with those films, like I still tend to do with extended versions of LOTR every now and then. I want limited number of good films with strong story and perhaps a recurring overall theme rather than dozens of mixed ones with barely anything to hold them together which is bound to occur at some point if they continue just for the continuation's sake.

I understand why the studio might opt for the latter, wanting to cash it in as much as possible, but I really hope they still have at least a tad respect for good filmmaking and storytelling to see that quantity most definitely does not equal the quality.

that is a good looking EW cover art, especially the snow gives it a nice touch too

Those look guuuud. Dayum.

My thinking is, if the three can just hold kalibak to a draw, then how much more trouble would Darkseid be. Thats A perfect reason to find more help in JL.

A villain poster of the muscle will look damn good made like that.

Yeah, it looks like what we see next after that scene of Ren walking through the woods in the teaser.

That lightsaber is still funny to me. I mean it looks cool, but I keep thinking "he's gonna cut himself with that thing. Mmhmm."
