BvS All Things Batman v Superman: An Open Discussion - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Part 195

Going to have a stab at plotting out the movie. Basing this off all the rumors I pertain to be true, and all the confirmed things we have been given.

[BLACKOUT]
  • Lex Luthor's chief thug, Anatoli Knyazev frames the Batman for more beatings, branding the Batman logo on the criminals.
  • [/BLACKOUT]

  • It was rumored that Callan Mulvey was on set when they filmed that scene, but it was also rumored that Amy Adams was also there.

And the Hype Train keeps on rolling to Part 195.

Look at the ending scene and look how much control Zod has over the beam

looks nothing like this. These are two distinctive laser beams. The colours alone are different.

Like I said in part 194, that was General Zod from MOS, not corpsified-Doomsday-like Zod from (allegedly) BvS.

I find it very interesting that we got the rumor about WW cutting off Doomsday's hand and it growing back as a bone blade and the story from Shannon about having flipper hands so close together. Either it's an amazing coincidence or someone is spreading disinformation. Right now though I'm heavily inclined to believe it. At first I was leaning towards a Clark Bizarro clone but now I'm almost sure that Zod has been cloned into Doomsday. Lex's own little Frankenstein monster who he most assuredly will lose control over.

@LastofKrypton It doesn't, but it's also been x number of years since that happened. His powers and his control of them could have increased exponentially, thus changing the way they appear. Snyder also said they were testing new methods to bring those powers to the screen, also potentially changing their appearance.

Personally, at least for right now as I change my mind a lot, I think it is something more mystical or godlike. (not necessarily New God like) I think Wonder Woman has a connection. She knows the threat either as Diana Prince or as Wonder Woman. Note: I have no evidence at all just a thought.

(wake up from hibernation pod*) Errr...You mean a villain from Wonder Woman's world? IIRC, Snyder mentioned in the Empire article that Gadot's WW is the "gateway drug" for DCEU. There are many WW villains with mystical, godlike quantity: Apollo, Ares, Hades, etc. However I don't think that it will be that case as they will be explored in depth in WW's solo film.

I think in your scenario if there is a physical villain, or two it will likely to have connection to both Superman and WW. No, no, not LexcorpDay, lol. I don't recall which one though.

Personally, I think that it is a variation of Metallo, something that Snyder & co had in mine in their original idea for MOS2 but eventually evolved to become their own creation. I also think that there will be two villains, the second will probably be the most familiar from Superman/Batman world but not necessarily the big baddies like Darkseid or Brainiac --the latter two will probably be hinted in the film.

in MOS Superman exhibited amazing control over his heat vision...able to heat up a door knob, burn a wide hole in a glacier, cauterize a wound.

We also know there is this scene in the movie where Superman is hovering and eyes blazing...so why wouldn't he go full bore against Batman?

This whole heat vision debate is kinda pointless. We can't prove anything with these screengrabs. It could simply just be Supes using a more intensified concentration. I don't like the idea, because it'd mean he was taking a killshot at Batman...but who the hell knows why it might have even come to that.

Also remember this JoBlo scoop? While JoBlo is hit and miss, this scoop has been really spot on in about every way. And in it, they talk about how WW, Bats and Supes will team up at the end to fight what is basically a "Physical threat".

Looks like Superman's heat vision is two beams that come together to form one beam that's why people who think the blast fired at Batman isn't from Superman but it appears that's how his heat vision works over long distance

Because Doomsday has flippers?

Things we now know for sure:

- Zod is in this movie (in some capacity)
- Shannon had to wear flippers on his hands during shooting.

There's obviously some CG at play here. Now, the theories seem to be that he either becomes a Zodbie (good name, whoever came up with it!), or a LexCorp experiment turns him into a Doomsday/Bizarro hybrid, or something. That's assuming there's a (yet to be announced) new villain in the movie.

Now, for the people who claim there's NO other villain(s), what's your take on the flipper hands?

The point here is not if Superman can control his heat vision (we already know he can) but wether the heat vision aimed at Batman in the trailer is coming from Superman. As I've shown in my previous posts Superman's heat vision doesn't resemble the one attacking Batman.

In the 2014 comic-con teaser trailer Batman is wearing his armour when Superman is hovering and eyes blazing. This isn't the case in the 2015 comic-con trailer.

I don't agree with roach about the BvS finale but the colours in MOS and BvS are different to begin with because they have a different DP.

The bone blade thing just seems dumb to me. I mean, why not just have his hand grow back? I feel like he'd get more use out of a full hand with flexibility and dexterity, rather than a sword made of clearly sliceable bone.

I could see him trying to kill shot Batman...especially if Batman is trying to kill him.

I do agree that it's not Supes shooting leaser beams at Batman.

Then why are they the same colour in the images below?

If you guys can't see the difference then I don't know what to say .

I highly doubt Superman wants to kill Batman simply for trying to kill him(And I don't think Batman is trying to kill Superman at all). Especially after he was broken over killing Zod. I say you are reaching at this point.

Zodbie is a trademark of RoachCorp Industries

I don't buy the flippers thing. I don't see Michael Shannon spoiling a hidden part of this movie like that.

1) Does Superman really need Batman and Wonder Woman to help him take out a clone of a man he took out by himself?
2) Does anything we've seen so far lead you to believe that (in the movie universe) Lex could clone and bring to life and control a dead alien?
