I would like him to stick with smaller films as well and this is coming from someone who likes the first Hellboy and loves Blade 2.Del Toro going back to smaller, weirder films is music to my ears. Hollywood has not been good for him.

Fukunaga would be great, though I'm afraid WB may have burned that bridge when they let him walk away from It do to "creative differences."Just get Cary Joji Fukunaga (sp?) to direct JLD. Also LEVITIKUZ isn't going to be happy since this news likely means no Hellboy 3.

Agreed. I don't believe he would ever do a Marvel or DC film.Eh, he doesn't seem like the kinda director that wants to play in the sandbox, so to speak. Hard to imagine him coming in on an existing script within set parameters and being okay with it.
