Well, I guess the joke is on him.

Del Toro going back to smaller, weirder films is music to my ears. Hollywood has not been good for him.

What is peter Jackson been up to these days? Not that i want him for JLD, but every time i think of GDT I think of peter jackson.

Just get Cary Joji Fukunaga (sp?) to direct JLD. Also LEVITIKUZ isn't going to be happy since this news likely means no Hellboy 3.

I would like him to stick with smaller films as well and this is coming from someone who likes the first Hellboy and loves Blade 2.

Pretty sure Peter Jackson also said he wants to do smaller budget movies as well

I told myself I wasn't going to be a ****e, but then I figured "Why stop now?"

Fukunaga would be great, though I'm afraid WB may have burned that bridge when they let him walk away from It do to "creative differences."

Eh, he doesn't seem like the kinda director that wants to play in the sandbox, so to speak. Hard to imagine him coming in on an existing script within set parameters and being okay with it.

Agreed. I don't believe he would ever do a Marvel or DC film.

New Line can burn in hell for putting him in the position of leaving IT.

James Wan would have been a good fit too given his experience in horror. Or maybe Jennifer Kent.
