How are they going to "practically" portray a character that is a ghost that possesses people's bodies? How is any of that not reasonably require a nice chunk of CGI?

Depends if he'll be portrayed as translucent or not.

Sure, I expect him to be CG'd when he does his possession shenanigans, but when he's just himself I can see him with makeup and a practical suit.

I've seen many fan arts where he looks like a demon which I think can work with practical effects if they don't want to go full CGI like Dr. Manhattan.

This is the final month of the great thirst, next month we'll have the 3rd Batman v Superman trailer then after that it'll be TV Spots, viral posts, interviews and magazines galore till March.

Blink and BvS will be in theaters.

I've always pictured Deadman as the comedian of the group.

That image does not look like a guy who'll do knock knock jokes for the lolz.

To me, Deadman and The Spectre should be practical with a little CGI for the eyes. Etrigan would be cool done with prothetic but I imagine they'd go for motion capture, likewise with Swamp Thing.

Unofficial trailer views count (official channel + Movieclips since those 2 get the most views) I maintained for the big movies from last year and next year. I looked at the total views on the day of release for movies already released, and current counts for movies yet to release:

I dont know much about Deadman, pretty much all I do know comes from his appearrance in JLU. But as a non-fan(none die hard fan anyway) who may not know exactly what to expect, to see someone looking like that getting funny would be funny. Ghastly lookin dude, murdered, and he hasnt lost his sense of humor.

Deadman is a Ghost (who is a hero) there's no reason why he should look like a Demon or Zombie, making him white (or grey) and translucent with CGI eyes, should be sufficient.

He needs to at least look like a ghoul imo. No rotting flesh falling off the bone, no demon like appearance.

Deadman is comedic but not always, not like Deadpool.

More like Spider-man's comedy, still a bit more toned down version.
