Man, Riddler was perfect for Nolan's world. Not only would the character be redeemed movie wise again, we'd finally see more of the Worlds Greatest Detective that was slightly lacking with Bale's Batman.

This article claims that David Goyer stated in an interview with Empire that they did. I have no idea if the article is accurate about that, though.

Edit: Screenrant and Collider report the same thing.

Apparently Disney has not attached any of their trailers to the Star Wars movie file itself but has demanded that theaters show Zootopia, The Finest Hours, Civil War and Jungle Book and maybe BFG as well. Theaters are pretty much not complying with that and showing what they think will make the most impact. The BvS trailer seems to be attached to pretty much every print of Star Wars in most theaters since that is the next big movie coming up even though it is 3 months away.

The IMAX version of Star Wars OTOH has BvS, Civil War, Jungle Book and Independence Day attached on to the file, and a 30 second Deadpool announcement trailer as well.

Around 500M worth of people will be watching the BvS trailer before Star Wars this weekend.
