The handheld style is definitely back. It's just not being used as heavily, and primarily for more personal, civilian scenes.

I actually felt sad for Bruce when he said that. It seems like he has nothing to live for anymore and the only thing that he feels will truly bring meaning to his Dark Knight legacy is bringing down Superman who he feels is too dangerous. Then again he could be talking about something else maybe his Batman persona.

The hand-held stuff was terrible, so I'm glad to hear it's been toned down.

I wasn't a fan of the handheld cinematography used in MoS either, especially those fast zoom ins and overdone motion blur effects. Thank God its been toned down in BvS. There was a time when this style was frowned upon in the Film & Video production industry. For some reason it became more acceptable in the last few years. Could be Cloverfield that started this trend.

On paper, that sounds very depressing considering we're talking about a Batman who has likely failed in some ways.
