Am I alone on TheNewBatmanAdventures?

love both of them, but the new series gave me my all time favorite episode, forgot what the title was (Feat of Clay?) but that story where Tim Drake falls in love with the girl with the missing memory, who turns out to BE a part of Clayface just made me read Tim Drake comics.

The episode youe thinking of is Growing Pains. I just saw it recently and liked it a lot. Felt bad for Tim in that one.

"Growing Pains"

I loved both series's. Although the animation in MOTION from TNBA isn't as good as the motion in BTAS and the music doesn't live up either or the Joker's design. And it was toned down quite a bit too but story wise TNBA was better IMO.

Love the Scarecrow design:

But they really lost something with their Joker design:

has anyone seen "The Batman" animated cartoon thats running now? they completely changed the looks of the villains for the worse imo

The only thing that sucked about TNB was the Joker design. That just sucked hard. Other than that, it was generally good. the animation style was very kinetic.

I particularly loved the Batman/Superman Worlds Finest movie. Even that woulda been better with the old Joker though.

yea Joker in The Batman series looks like Blanka from street fighter lmao wtf?? and have u seen the new look they gave Riddler?? uggghhh!

Oh yeah I hated Riddler too. Did anyone ever like Baby Doll? I have all the Batman Episodes and I refuse to watch the ones with Baby Doll.

wait, which cartoon are you refering to? "The Batman"?
and i honestly think the best thing about the "The Batman" cartoon are the story lines which are pretty great!

Finding a good storyline in The Batman is equivalent to finding a needle in a haystack, goodluck. As for TNBA, I love it, though it doesn't stand up to BTAS. BTAS had a better style, overall better character designs and much more heart in its stories. Plus TNBA never had an Freakin night! I mean seriously, sometimes I watch Mystery of the Batwoman just so I can see some freakin night sky Batman action without that permanent red, urrgh.

B:TAS was superior by far, but B:TNBA was not as bad as many people say, either. It was a far worthier successor than many other attempts. It continued much of what we loved. It just stumbled a bit. I wish it had gotten to go on longer, though. Frankly, it's use of the other Batman sidekicks was far superior to how B:TAS did them. Robin was always a tool in B:TAS, but as Nightwing he pwned. Tim Drake's Robin was superb, and they got to use Batgirl in a better capacity.

Both have their merits. But TAS is still the best. No ifs, ands, or buts. TNBA was like Star Trek's 3rd season. Better than nothing, still had some gems, but really lost a lot of it's mojo.

I hope you realize the red sky came from BTAS and not just TNBA...

What exactly did the Riddler's redesign look like? Being that I haven't seen it before

Anyone else think that The Batman version of Riddler looked like Marilyn Manson?

I recently (about a month or so) rewatched the entirety of TNBA. It's a solid show/follow up to BTAS, honestly. Most episodes work, ranging from good to very good with the ocassional "great" ones, and I just love the stylization. Not crazy about Joker's Sale-like look as far as his mouth goes, or The Riddler redesign (He looked perfect in BTAS).

I hated Baby Doll's episode though.

But honestly Riddler had like 2 appearances in that awful outfit.

Pretty awful. Too plain and it lacks a mask.

oh no!! thats not even the one im talking about either.. they did a completely new redesign of the Riddler in the "The Batman" cartoon that i saw... and he looks waaaaaaay $h*tier... this actualy looks Riddler like..
if someone can teach this noob how to post a pic i'll try and show you..

...I kinda like it...

Reallly??? he looks nothing like the Riddler to me... you change that outfit to any other color and youd have no idea that he was Riddler (and the pics u posted are from the episode they gave this week i think too)
Joker looks like crap, Clayface looks like crap... this take on Batman is crappy imo... and is this in the future? some things look a lil futuristic like the Police uniforms and weapons and such...

The Batman is really not that bad at all...

It is a respectable, modern and good take on the Batman mythology for KIDS.

The designs are so extreme at times because Jeff Matsuda really wanted (and under request from WB) to remove the character from his B:TAS or Bruce Timm look.

There are some stellar episodes, especially throughout seasons 2 and 4 that could look Batman: The Animated Series in the face.
