..that seeing Ledgers version of The Joker is one of the most anticipated things in movies since the '89 version of Batman?????
I really hope that Nolan and Ledger get The Joker right. One request i have for them to do : make him terrifying.
I was four years old when Batman came out and i remember having nightmares about Nicholsons joker - he seriosuly scared the ***** out of me!! , without sounding too harsh or mean i really hope that ledgers joker scares the ***** out of todays kids - thats the way to tell that he got it right!

Nicholson's Joker scared you? I thought he was quite humorous. Laugh all ya want, but Bane and his "creation" freaked me out when I saw B&R in theaters.

But Leger's really got a lot of expectations to live up to. Much like Topher has done with Venom, I think Ledger will do Joker the justice the character deserves.

Lets not say Topher nailed Venom when we haven't seen the flick... Venom looks extremely cheezy to me so far from what I have seen... and I am not just talking about the CGI...

But I think Ledger knows he had better deliver if he wants to get his name up their with the Damons/Dicaprios of the world... we'll see what happens

well, I have never seen such great anticipation for a character like we are seeing with Venom right now (maybe Anakin???), but I'm sure, that after Spider-man 3, Ledger's Joker will be the most anticipated. That's for sure.

I was crapping myself at the dinenr scene with Julie. Because i didn't know Bruce was hallucinating about Poison Ivy. I thought she was actually in the room. I was in the cinema:

"OH MY GOD! SHE IS IN HIS HOUSE! LOOK OUT DON'T KISS HER! SHE'S GOING TO KILL HIM!"

But, i kept it all inside. I didn't shout it out.

The Penguin from Returns was by far the scariest Batman villain so far. That scene where he bites off that guys nose? Freaked the hell out of my five year old ass.

I agree though, I want Ledger to be terrifying and unpredictable as the Joker.

i perfer to think of myself as less anti ledger and more pro joker.
I love the joker. I have more invested in him than i ever did in any starwars character. i just want to see him done well, and yes its probably true that no one would be perfect, I just think we as an audience deserve better.
Still i might be suprised, and if I do eat crow on this I'll wave my white flag and let the world tell me "I told you so". until that day I remain your cynical devil's advocate.
