Batman + Captain America = American Bat

Wearing no cape. Not sure which one I like better. (just noticed it also has a little editing problem.)

American Bat (without his shield)

Not sure on the story either, except he had a partner who was killed in the line of duty and it haunts him to this day.
Maybe he is a symbol for America, maybe he symbolizes their dark side or something to fear.
I wanted him to look campy, a little over the top, unashamedly superhero.
Does he have powers?
One idea is that Maybe Bruce Wayne Rogers, after the loss of his parents went all over the world training himself into a weapon, maybe he saw his war on crime to include the War Criminals.
Should he even have been around during the war?
When he was injected he was given the strength, speed, stamina, agility, and so on, of an athlete, a human at the peak of perfection.
I don't know exactly the story,
I liked the idea of merging these two because they are so different.

I even came up with a classic American Bat, and his sidekick Robin.

Batman + Captain America = American Bat.
This is American Bat during WWII, his classic costume.
His ears are bigger, has mask doesn't connect to the rest of his costume (exposed neck), his shirt is grey, the star/bat has no yellow circle around it, his red gloves are short, his shield is different (shaped like a bat on top), no A on his mask, his belt is different too.
Also a short design of Robin + Bucky = ?

Just pencil mileage I guess. But if you just want to present your ideas you can trace an already existing drawing like I do sometimes, you can just use one of the drawings and draw your own by looking at that one, stuff like that.
But if you really want to learn how to draw in that style then you sort of have to keep practicing.


Here is one I read on another site, someone mentioned two characters they'd like to see merged, and since I already did Super Hulk,
why not this one:

Marvel + DC = Amalgam

Powergirl + She-Hulk = Power-Hulk?

Unlike her cousin Clark/Super Hulk, Power-Hulk can control her transformations. She has actually chosen to stay in her Hulk form permanently.

DC + Marvel = Amalgam


Powergirl + American Dream = American Power
They are both related in some way to another well known superhero (Superman and Captain America) and are from alternate realities. Superman and Captain America are sort of the symbols of hope and patriatism in their comic universes. So I merged Powergirl with America Dream. In my Amalgam idea Super Soldier (Superman + Captain America) was crated by the Government using a dead alien's DNA merged with a human's DNA (dead human's?). So he is half human and half alien. She is the future niece of Super Soldier's alien side. (Meaning the alien that died had a brother or a sister who survived and hid a daughter.) She comes from an alternate reality future called Earth M2. But something bad happened to that future and she somehow made it to the Amalgam universe, but her future is gone forever and she cannot go home. She joins the Young Titans (Teen Titans + Young Avengers). Eventually she joins the super team Invaders Society (Justice Society + Invaders) along with fellow Young Titan Atom Smasher (Atom Smasher + Stature). She has powers like Super Soldier but no human side like him. She takes the identity of Shannon Star to hide as a human.

Hawkman + Falcon = Falcon Man
This is an idea I had for the Amalgam comics. Merging Hawkman and Falcon. The story would be that Carter Wilson was a SHIELD scientist/archaeologist. He finds the Thanagarian technology and discovers that he is actually Katar Will-Son from Thanagar. And he has lived for centuries all the way back to when he landed on Eart as Prince Kufu. (most of the ideas are still a work in progress).
But I would use the Hawkman reincarnation idea with the Falcon character.
