Comics Amazing Spider-Man #559 spoilers. I'll read it so you don't have to

The same could be said for marrying off a popular couple (Ross and Rachel, Luke and Laura, Sam and Diane, David and Maddie, and the two dorks from Who's the Boss. All intended as rating "boosts")

I'm not going to bash the whole BND.
I do like some things about it.
Thank god his web shooters are back! :D
I give serious props for bringing back the light hearted feel to Spidey. I mean it's his defining personality trait.

BUT....
JJJ VERSION 2.0. (dexter) is getting well....old.

I think Bob Gale has proven that...he should never touch a spidey book...like...ever.
his dialog was poorly written. again.
I seriously lol'd when I saw freak doing drugs and how shocked spidey was to see that.

The part where peter was taking the pictures of the ceb and the guys were trying to chase him, it brought a smile to my face. I thought it was cute.

All good Spidey puns, awesome nostalgic Spider-Man feel, two new villains that could prove to be interesting, and I hope sales continue as they are or get better.

:yay:

Meet the lowest common denominator this book appeals to. Take pictures fast, because they're a dying breed. Sales dropped another ten thousand probably would've dropped more if not for the Wolverine monkeys. And if people want their nostalgia the era Joe think's he's recreating is collected in several trades and Essentials. The word you're looking for is regression.

Wow. And people call me condescending.

And I could introduce you as the token dick around here, but that's practically a given.

Though it's funny how you fail to address all the parts of your review that I brought up that you got wrong, same as you failed to address the same boneheaded error from your previous issue's review.

I think you just like to hear yourself talk.... err, type...

Nonetheless, your inept attempt to put the book down is probably helping create more interest, so as clonesy says, keep it up.

Which part? Just an enemy being around constantly set off the Spider sense in the past, and dodging a punch from a bouncer isn't gonna give yourself away as Spider-Man.

Oh and you were proven wrong on how fast Spider-Man can run. I'd

Oh and you were proven wrong on how fast Spider-Man can run. I'd go through each part, but you're significance to me is microscopic.

I picked up this Issue today and I thought it was great! I loved it when Speedball said "the parkour luck" and Spidey saying "she-she did not just say that." That really was funny. Also, Marcos Martins' art really is fantastic. I enjoyed it so much and I'm loving Dan Slott's return. I can't wait until the next issue.

I'd like to hear you adress my nostalgia comment. It got burried at the bottom of the last page. I hate when that happens.

One, I flicked throught the issue last night. Screwball sucks, no powers just her parkour luck (now that was a cute line) so it's ridiculous that she can out spider-man, spider-man. Paper Doll seems interesting though. Still I felt this wasn't slott's finest moment. Also the snow was off, last issue seems disregarded (there weren't patches, there was a layer of snow).

Two, I am the resident condescending dick on this board. I've worked very hard for the title. Look at any argument I've ever been in with, say, clones, MOB or especially blader for proof of this.

Three, it was ASM 129 that had punisher's first appearence and was the first spider-man I read. It's also the only comic I haven't given away. The beat down ripped cover is still in my bed side table. (that's right no bags or backboards, and I'm sure by now my finger oils have eroded any possible value it might have, collectors weep)

Four, Hooray Beer!

That is all.

Yeah i'm loving Martin's artwork too it's got a wonderfully retro vibe to it.

I must say I rather enjoyed this issue. After the Wells and Bachalo arc, which I didn't thrill me too much purely because I didn't like the art, BND seems to be getting back on track.

In defense of the whole Screwball should be no match for Spidey thing: Well, as already mentioned in this thread, Spidey did say he was holding back. Heck, even Screwball knew he was holding back!

But on top of that, yes Spidey bumbled into the hotdog cart or whatever. But I justify it like this: How many Parkour experts has Spidey come up against before? None. So while he's experienced at chasing down regular grounded thugs, or Super Powered Villains that can fly. I imagined that unexpectedly coming up against someone displaying Screwball's skills threw him off a little!

Also, did anyone get the impression that, as in the Spidey flicks, Robbie has suspicions that Pete is Spider-man?

And on the page showing all the celebrities that Peter has to try and get pictures of, how many can you make out? I recognised Tom and Katie, Britney and I think Lindsey Lohan.

Anyway, can't wait for next weeks issue! Paper Doll is creepy.
