Alana Jobson "used enhancement drugs to obtain her powers and bought Sara Ehret's identity to register with, as Sara Ehret was a super-powered individual who changed her mind about finishing registration. During a battle with Blindside and Commanda, Jackpot dies as the result of a combination of Blindside's poison and the drugs already in her system."

you forgot about the nding of the Annual where spider-man has a little talk with Sara Ehret and at the end it shows her holding the jackpot costume. meaning if jackpot return it will be Sara Ehret..... hopefully she won't

Still doesn't make it any less of a cop-out, cheat, bait-and-switch, or whatever you want to call it. And yeah, I doubt anyone is begging for Jackpot's return at this point. Bad enough Marvel screwed this up by needlessly dragging out this so called "mystery," but the character itself, because she was nothing more than a caricature of Mary Jane from the start, was flawed and destined for D-list status from the get-go.

I could kind of see if they wanted MJ to be sort of a super heroine love interest. that would probably work better with them Single rather than married, I'll give them that. (although I see no problem with Mj keeping her powers a secret from him.)

The only stories that could not be told within the confines of the marriage was Peter living with Vin and trust me, he's no match in fandom compared to Mj.

Did they sit down and brainstorm the most utterly pointless way to make a fake MJ villian?????

Next, they'll take Charlie Brown's famous line.."Good Grief"....make Good Grief a villian that is bald and looks like Charlie Brown and wears a yellow & black jagged shirt.

He'll talk like Charlie brown too, besides looking like him, and having his catch phrases, BUT....they'll throw in a curve and make us think for awhile that it is really Peppermint Patty....and then at the last minute "REVEAL" that it is actually Holly Hobby.

Brilliant stuff here MArvel came up.

Well, Marvel has reached yet another milestone within their new continuity.

When this detour-reboot had ended & we look back at it...this will be a moment everyone can shake their head at and chuckle. So cheesy.

SO, who hijacked the real spidey comics & can we have them back now??

Sad thing is, Joe will blame the loyal fans, and not poor story choices & the un-needed poorly founded reboot in general.

since I first saw Jackpot in swing shift, I knew something stupid was going to come about it, but OMD through me off a bit....I didn't think marvel would make another dumb move so soon.

dealing with Spidey comics feels kinda like going to a shifty car dealer. some people buy crap. some people go elsewhere for better quality.

I am slapping myself on the forehead over and over, for not have seen this coming. Scooby Doo I am not, i guess.

However, this is one of the reasons I am a big fan of the reboot and the stories they spent a long time plotting, that they couldn't have done before with Pete & MJ together.

Forget the crappy Hobgoblin mystery stuff from years before.

I am going to buy multiple issues of the Jackpot Saga, because it has classic written all over it. This issue, and back issues showing the obvious clues of this famous lady who stole Sara's identity so she could be MJ instead is actually more brilliant than anyone on here credits.

I will defend it forever, (i am surprised a certain someone isn't on here doing that already.) But yeh, I'm with him anyway here!

The Jackpot reveal cements the fact that this reboot was needed. I've been waiting for stories like this. ANyone could be anyone now. Trust no one.

MAybe Mephisto was really Joe the Plumber trying to actually be Loki but looking and talking like Satan, and that's why the devil really had nothing to do with this reboot because it was really the "Plumber of Mischief"...

There are great minds and a great well laid out plan at work here most of you are not giving enough credit to.

Well this issue was crap.....

Waited all this time for a reveal that no one cares about at all. I swear, BND pulls me back in with NWTD being solid and now this happens.

Anyway.....reveal was a huge letdown, but then again Marvel put themselves in a corner with Jackpot from the start.
