You didn't read the disclaimer at the end of the article, don't you? Newither Dok Ock, neither the symbiote are in the film or the game. It's just made up by IGN as a way to promo the game.

You know what I mean, lol. An alien suit is more 616 and what I would prefer. OsCorp may want to create it into something like Ultimate, but it definitely smells like 616 to me if Venom is used from this "black goo". And the "black goo" being used in the creation of Scorpion is kinda funny since Mac Gargan was Venom for a while.

Those biographies aren't made up by IGN, they were given to them by Beenox/Activision. It's nice that they've got these little side details in the story that call out to Spidey's comic continuity even if they don't end up in the game. There's a chance these bios will end up in the game itself too, kind of like Arkham Asylum and City's biographies detail little stories that you never see in the games themselves.

I love the backstory they're adding to the movieverse. Symbiote coming from space attached to an Oscorp satellite? Nice. And Octavius as well. I don't really want either of them in the movies but it would be great for the games. Imagine the entire symbiote saga in a future game and maybe having Venom be a huge threat for the last half of the game. That would be sweet. But not in the movies, lol. t:

On James Arnold Taylor's IMDB page it shows that he was in the ASM game, perhaps he's voicing Spidey? He voiced him in Friend or Foe, and also was the voice of Harry in Spectacular Spider-Man

(And on a side note, I met him last weekend at Starwars Weekends, AWESOME guy! Super nice.)

JAT wasn't too bad of a Spidey in Friend or Foe, actually. It's funny he was Spidey in that game and Josh Keaton was Harry, when they did TSSM less than a year later their roles were reversed.

He had some roles as thugs in Shattered Dimensions, so he could just be doing small roles like that. We'll know for sure very soon, though.

Yes. It's rumored that TASM will be shown tonight at the Sony Conference. It makes sense, even though it's a game for multiple platforms, it's a Sony game essentially, and it helps to promote the movie.
