Spider-man 3's combat just felt... muffled. If that makes sense.
It shames me to say this, but Web of Shadows did it before TASMI still love how cool it is that in ASM you can use your web shots to web a guy to the wall. Seriously, how awesome is that? Love it. More of this stuff Beenox...yes, more of this.t:

But at least TASM did it in a way to get the enemy out of the way defeated
Takes me back to the PS1 games, this must be..not, it is the first game to do it since thenYep. I love how it works as a finishing move rather than just a temporary immobilizer.

SD Wii is one of my favorite Spidey games. It was challenging and there was a lot of funny quips from Spidey.SD is one of the most forgettable video games
And man, no on the ASM visuals, colors are too bright it's annoying, only the forest stage was good looking
Eh, what? Dodging is proper (unless you're standing in the middle of an array of bullets and not jumping), and enemies are far behind being strong. A hit from one of them moves Spidey 3 steps back, one hit from Spidey moves them a little back allowing performing combo, and charged attacks make them fly behind a littleI think it makes sense.
Combined with the crappy dodging and some strong enemies and Spidey felt really weak. It always felt like the bad guys hit me farther than I did them. And not Sandman or Venom, but the random street thugs

Thugs always felt overpowered to me. I have no problem with bad guys being tough to beat, but the bad guys were strong and could easily gang up on you, while Spidey felt heavy and weak compared to them. I remember the mission with the girl gang (Arsenic Candy or something?) in the museum where I believe you had to protect the fossils from them. I hated that mission so much, simply because the bad guys were way too tough, and too fast. Maybe it's because I was a kid when I played it, but even today, combat doesn't feel funEh, what?
You talk about uppercut only, right?Yeah the boss fights weren't bad. They were actually challenging. And why does Spidey have to go straight up when he hits someone? But that was in SM2 and really isn't a big complaint of mine. The game wasn't polished either. If you punch against a bridge, you can cross it. Anyway how 'bout that

Not all have hammers, hit the hammer girls with web balls/impact webbing and they cannot dodge the attackArsenic Candy and their stupid hammers....
Hang them from a light pole, a flag pole, more than one pole at onceThugs weren't necessarily overpowered, it just wasn't fun to beat them up. SM3 did have great features such as the bomb missions, spider-sense, and it throws some curveball side missions at you, which is pretty cool. But why take away the Statue of Liberty?
