The Amazing Spider-Man Amazing Spidey Video Game Thread. - - - - - - Part 15

But why both USM and TASM don't have the train tracks in the Meat Packing District?

I'm glad that they took the free flow mechanic to combat, but they should make the animation smooth. Mostly the free flow is so much fun in Batman Arkham City because it's cool seeing how smoothly all the moves link together and make the flow, TASM's free flow was unfortunately clunky

ASM's combat is not as smooth as Arkham City's however it's far from being clunky. There's room for improvement of course but I've played games with clunky animations or flow and this is not one of them.

The had some pretty nice ideas for the finishing moves and I like the way webs work(sticking bad guys to walls and ceilings). But the combat is no wear near as fun as Arkham City's. It's very satisfying to string together moves on the fly using what available.I think that the rumble features need to stay.I would like to see combos return. But I don't want them to replace the freeflow. They should enhance it.

I would like to see a more acrobatic spiderman and fluid spiderman. I another addition I would like to see is more OMG moments in combat. Like for example in AC sometimes when I'm doing a counter Batman will do some really awesome animations.

I still think Spidey is way too slow. And the way normal thugs are still tough to deal with is pathetic. The fights should be more like the Spidey vs SWAT sequence from the film.

I personally don't thing the Ai is that great tbh. It could be so much better. So could the stealth for that matter. It's so limited and just feels like they are doing all the work for the player.

I'd say yes, I'm still playing it months after finishing the story and collecting everything.

Not that there's anything to do, mind you. Just swinging around is all.

I've never played this before, is it worth the buy?

Rent it, I'd say. It's not unenjoyable, but it has a ton of flaws and can be buggy at times. The story is awful, the acting bar a couple of people is poor. The combat pales in comparison to the Batman Arkham games (which it tries to emulate) and the side missions are fairly mediocre and repetitive (way too many fetch random sick person/escaped lunatic etc). Plus the swinging controls are somewhat wonky and largely automated.

I really want to see peter Parker in the next games, base it off Garfields look of course.

Combat animation is quite shoddy at times

Well like I said it has room for improvement but I wouldn't ever call the combat 'clunky.' IMO, ASM features the best combat we've had in a Spider-man game.

Too slow? Tough to deal with? The combat is fast-paced and frenetic but that's to give the player a bit of a challenge. I think you may just be bad at playing the game, no offence. I can enter a fight with a bunch of enemies, pull off some great combos, and not get hit once.

Yes. If you're a Spidey fan, you will enjoy this game for sure. It's prob on sale now too with the holidays which makes it even more worth a buy.

To all those who may be interested, Gameloft's Amazing Spider-man game for Android and iOS is temporarily on sale for $0.99 US.

I just picked it up this morning but haven't had a chance to play it yet. I'll post some thoughts on here once I've done so.

Picked it up under that price a while ago. My phone couldn't handle it. The game played choppy and the graphics were downgraded, so I deleted it. :(

Uh...no I'm not bad at the game. I'm saying Spidey is still not at the speed he's at from the movies, TV shows, and comics. He should just be wasting thugs left and right, flipping all over the place with very quick agility and speed. I still think the combat is too clunky to offer that.

I payed six bucks for it, but it works for my device. But I just don't play it much.
