Yea I don't find it necessary either

Same here. Not being able to play as Venom was Spider-Man 3's biggest failure IMO.
You guys talking about the PS2/Wii/PSP version? Cause I heard playing as Venom was exclusive to that one aloneMy friend told me there was a way to play as Venom.
It wasn't possible and I was sad.![]()
to me spidey should be the only playable character in a Spidey game. unless there is bonus extra stuff to unlock
That's what I read before.@Aziz: You couldn't play as Venom in any version of Spider-Man 3. Do you really think they'd have that as an exclusive for the WORST versions of that game?
Never played the arena in that game, is it the warehouse on that small island beside Manhattan? There was the same rumor with SM2 the game, that if you went into the warehouse or something (where the last battle took place) after the game ends you'd be able to play as Doc Ock.
lawl
That was pretty fun, but also annoying. It was clearly unfinished, but they put it out anyway. Still it was more fun than SM3 New Goblin.

What!? You can't be serious about that. How is it the "biggest failure" exactly?
But another playable character should only be considered a "bonus" if you ask me. No matter how much I love playing Catwoman in Arkham City, it shouldn't have been a minus if she wasn't included, because it's more a bonus than anything else. It's like when people complain about no multiplayer in games like God Of War (yes, I've read stupid complaints like that). In games like these, things like additional characters are only things that can make the game better. The lack of such characters wouldn't make a game worse.
What do you mean by playing as Green Goblin being "clearly unfinished"?
The story part of the Green Goblin game seemed to trail off. It felt as though they hadn't finished that part.

I read that one of the Beenox team members was pushing for Spider-Ham as a playable character. That would be hilarious.
umm where's the funny? But whatever I guessThe story part of the Green Goblin game seemed to trail off. It felt as though they hadn't finished that part.
You mean the lack of FMVs?
thats because it was basically thrown together at the last minute...
Josh Keaton said he was originally the voice for Spider-Man but then they got the rights to use Tobey Maguire so they just used Josh's audio for a Green Goblin 2/Harry story

Sorta. From what I remember (keeping in mind this was when the game came out lol) there was just really some lines of dialogue and it seemed to less of it by the end.
Oh that explains it then. Still SM1 was a good game and GG2 was fun to play as and he could even summon/dismount his glider at will.
