I'd love to tone down my level of excitement, especially after how I got severely disappointed by Web of Shadows

There was a link somewhere where either Beenox or someone working at Beenox (I think) admitted that their Spidey games weren't exactly up to scratch.

This Spider-Man game has gotten the most development time (apparently) and has been praised as essentially being the best Spider-Man game so far. There are more signs pointing to it being good than bad, but you're not in the wrong for having doubts after the previous few games...

It's easy to say so if they got bashed by too many to defend it

If it's better than Spider-Man 3 in gameplay variety and boss fights (since we already know it's much better than it in graphics, and possibly ironed out of faults and possibly has a strong and good story) I'll believe them

I really do hope they put a lot more work into the city. Spidey looks great, but the city looks very sparse and far too clean.

You want walls as stained as Web of Shadows? I admit the city looks fine there

So what you're saying is the last few Spidey games have been up to scratch? Hmm, interesting.

I'm almost certain Aziz doesn't like Shattered Dimensions. I'm sure I've seen him post once or twice about it :o

What exactly is up to scratch?

I still stand on Spider-Man 3 being the best superhero game I played (haven't played Arkham City yet), and the final great Spider-Man game. Acknowledge its issues, also see clearly how many many over the top complaints it received

Not sure what I want. It just looks a bit bland at the minute. It looks more like Dallas at the moment.

I think the city looks fine, it just looks empty.

Maybe a bit of smog and for the roads to lose that bleached-white look. And yeah, obviously more traffic and people will be added.

The streets do look quite empty. Hopefully, that's corrected by the time it comes out.

I like it, but seeing how an actually good game got severly bashed (one reason is being very repetitive :whatever:) while this thing forcing you to do the exact same thing 12 times in a row got praised and everyone overlooked it for the repetition galore it is (and freaking make the title character in the first cinematic and the second level very dumb) is viewed as the best Spider-Man game on this gen of systems (and one of the best superhero games) I felt the strong need to show what it is

I'm with you. I haven't enjoyed a Spidey game since SM3.

"Up to scratch" = Good/As good as they could have been.

Shattered DImensions had a good story, IMO, but it wasn't amazing. Like with EoT, it would have worked great as a mini-series or a one shot comic.

I think the general idea could have made a good story, but I wasn't impressed with how they implemented it.

How the heck did Kraven, Hmmerhead NOIR, Scorpion 2099, Goblin NOIR, Dock Ock 2099 know about the stone, its place and how to use it?

Hey guys!!! Been a wjile. I saw the teaser trailer for the ASM game. I cann't wait for the VGAs.

Jeez dude. You're so hell-bent on this movie being amazing. I mean, I want it to also, but let things happen as they will.

And I'm still betting on 250-300 mill for the box office.

I'm thinking it'll be 200-350. 200 if the movie is another "Meh" movie like Spidey 3, 350 if the movie is as good as we all hope it is.

I am excited about this if reminds me of the glory days of Spider Man 2. My only concern is the premise of this being a epilogue to the movie. That means that the game is limited in terms of what villians they can use because of the movie sequels. And if the game is a epilogue to the movie then I am unsure if we will be able to fight the lizard in the game :csad:

I thought Shattered Dimensions was pretty sweet with the voice acting and (some) gameplay. but for the most part, it was mostly 'beat this guy up and save this other guy' Haven't had the courage to go for EoT

Doesn't matter how bad the movie is. Spider-Man 3 made a ****ton of money at the B.O. and it was pretty bad.

I still need to get SD. I'm just waiting for it to hit the 20 dollar mark. Hopefully in May it'll hit that price point.

I don't think the general audience is going to stand for another mediocre to bad Spidey movie. They didn't seem to be big fans of Spidey 3 once they actually saw it.

My thoughts exactly.
