its not that serious at all. The suit isn't nearly as bad as SR.Indeed.
Though, I understand why some people would not like to use the new costume. I like the costume really much, but in a way it's kinda an insult to many fans. The movies should have the essence of spidey. I know, you could say that it's acceptable because there's so many different costumes in the comics, but this is different. It's harder to make the costume different in the comics, that's why the new designs are so radically different. But when it comes to a live action costume, with minor tweaks you could still make it look totally new & fresh while at the same time being really respective to the original design
So, while I myself like the costume, I think they shouldn't have done it. With just the different costume they lost the interest of many fans and general audience. The second trailer kinda saved the situation, but not completely. Trust me, if the costume would be more like the classic costume, the movie would be so much more hyped and popular.
The new suit: some people think it's awesome, some people think it sucks, classic suit: Most people would've thought it was great and the rest would've thought it was okay. In a business perspective, was the new design worth it?
I love the new suit, silver rimmed nikes and all. That decision to add the nikes makes the suit and character grounded.
