I don't care if the combat is grounded, although I'd like some aerial stuff and wall stuff too, but the main thing is that the combat is realistic. I don't want to see cartoony 50 hit combos on a human enemy with giant web fists and sparks flying and glowing everytime I land a blow. No thank you. I'd much rather see some combat in the same vein as AC. They probably won't duplicate the exact same system but I would want the smoothness, acrobatic style of combat and realism of taking human thugs or guards out in just a few hits.

Personally, I think they should just put it almost exactly like AC. Just put the spider-sense you see on enemies, on Spider-Man instead, and make the combat look a little more acrobatic, I think it would work perfectly

Has it been confirmed if this game will use web cartridges as a part of the gameplay?

Rino Romano is the Kevin Conroy of Spider-Man in being the definite voice, he's great sounding young and mature, and surprised me greatly when I heard the Spider-Man voice working fine for Batman

You know what's funny, Rino has also voiced Batman xD

Have there been any pre-order bonuses announced? I just now pre-ordered it and wanna know if I'm getting anything special.

There was one at NYCC. You got a poster then for pre-ordering. As of right now? Nope. There most likely will be in the future, which is why I'm going to wait until I see more footage, etc... and obviously until they reveal the pre-order bonuses before I pre-order.

Pre-ordering now is silly IMO. There will most certainly be some type of pre-order bonus offer in the near future. I am gonna hold out for one of those.

After giving this free flow system deeper looking into, it kinda works for Batman, but it's terrible for Spider-Man, cause:
1. Spider-Man has superhuman strength, he should take down thugs easier
2. What is described to be a button masher is more stylistic and less of a painful button masher than this free flow, and each move actually does have different effect
3. Look at the last line in the point above, yeah, I tried it, but no matter how different the attacks in BAA, the same effect for each attacks, the same number of attacks to subdue each thug
4. How exactly did you believe in this free flow? It's a sore thumbing button masher, and some moves can only be used if instruction to use them is displayed

F*** that over glorified repeated button tapping with little analog dancing

I'm not saying that Free Flow is necessarily the best option for spidey, but if you watch the 2nd trailer again, the way spidey fights those cops just screams freeflow. Now I'm not talking about batman freeflow, but more about Catwoman and Robin freeflow which are more agile.

If they wont do freeflow, they can still learn about the mechanics of it and get some ideas from it

Well, yes. But Spidey also pulls his punches just enough to subdue his enemies. It would still work for him, just alter the amount of damage. It would be a cool option to be able to control just how much strength Spidey can use in any encounter.

I am not asking for an exact replica of the 'free flow' system but some kind of a version of it. Give me the smoothness of the movements and the weight to the characters movements with the acrobatic style of Spidey and you've got a winner.

Play as Catwoman and just imagine it's Spidey instead. The system could work with some tweaks here and there. The combat in AC has a very rewarding feel to it but like anything else it can be improved. Hopefully Beenox does this. Only time will tell.

I can accept if they do the right modifications, like keeping both buttons to switch between, with no need to press certain sequences for certain moves

I'd like a charged punch or jab to be a KO to thugs. Or maybe set the strength level so you could kick the crap out of thugs. It'd be awesome running around beating murderers and thugs *&&^^%less.

Yeah, that was posted on their FB page a couple of days ago. Still no news as to when this new trailer is coming out. What they need to show is some good combat, swinging, and overall mechanics but it will most likely be another 'theatrical' type trailer showing a villain.

The trailer did not disappoint!

By the way, why did Treyarch stop making Spider-Man games? Does Activision still make Spider-Man games?
