Spidey has a belt in the game!

Saw that. Web cartridge storage is my guess. Weird though, don't know how I feel about it.

Hmm this trailer was interesting to say the least. Mostly because of Osborn's appearance (as it seems) and Spider-Man using a belt.

Rhino being another "Lizard"-type villain surprised me, and I'm not sure if I like it. I'd prefer him to be in a suit tbh. But I really like what they explain to be his characteristic traits in the game. This part especially sounds really good to me:

And I would add that Rhino’s rampaging is also rooted deeply in sheer frustration. You have to realize, his brain was turned to such mush through the experiment that anything resembling intelligent thought simply escapes him – but at the same time, he possesses some semblance of the concept of intelligent thought because he did indeed live it as Sytsevich. He knows it’s a cool thing to have.
This is the best analogy I can make for Rhino’s current thought process, and why it leads to such frustration: You know those times in everyday life when you open your closet door to get some random trinket, but you forget what you wanted out of there in the first place? It’s pretty frustrating until you remember what you’re after a second or two later. Now, imagine that feeling, but it never ends. That’s what Rhino’s experiencing. And the “random trinket” he’s looking for is his identity and what it’s like to think like a human being. Wouldn’t that make you want to go on a rampage?

EDIT: In regards to the gameplay itself. The graphics look...not so nice tbh. Looks even pretty ugly to me. However, the combat definitely seems to be free flow inspired by AC, which is a huge plus for me.

Since this is a movie game, I would think both the game and movie costumes would have a belt, or no belt at all. Either way, I'm fine with it.

I just can't get behind this game. For me, it was doomed as soon as I heard it wouldn't be following the movie. The Lizard-Rhino dynamic sounds really...not good and the addition of the utility belt on this suit couldn't look anymore out of place. The only redeeming factor this game has is the open world, and even that doesn't make this a must buy for me due to the other questionable moves Beenox has made.

I don't think the belt is only for cartridges. He might use the Spider Signal and stuff as well :) I hope so.

BTW, there was one thing that disappointed me in the trailer, and that's the fact that we, yet again, didn't really see any gameplay from a player's point of view. I want to see the REAL camera angles.

Also, the web swinging didn't look that great

The belt is a nice addition, and Spidey also looks a bit bulkier in the game trailer.

Wasn't impressed by the trailer, tbh (the graphics look bad, textures are a little fuzzy), but... I was surprised by the Spidey-belt! It was totally unexpected & a pleasant surprise.

The question is: will we see the belt closer to the end of ASM or this is just something, that he came up with in order to defeat the Rhino?

Maybe they added it because they read the forums were some people, when seeing the movie suit for the first time, complained a bit about how crotch area looked empty, like it was missing a belt.

That trailer was great, love how the Rhino looks here and his backstory.

The graphics look amazing in this screen but they look fuzzy in the trailer. Why is the trailer so low res?

And on the belt, I think that we may end up seeing something like this in a sequel... unfortunately. It may be why Webb decided against a belt for Spidey in TASM, to show evolution of the suit.

I'd rather they have a rotating cartridge mechanism built into his webshooters (hell, they're already sticking out as it is) as opposed to a belt that doesn't compliment the suit.

I really like his origin and characteristics in this game...but I really don't like him being part human part rhinosaurus.

I'm okay with the belt as long as it's not 'canon' but rather something, that he uses against Rhino. The design of the belt isn't that good, but it'll do... for the video game.

If they decide to go with the "Oscorp creates the villains" story (like SSM) for this series, I think that's great. I love the idea of Osborn as this Luthor-like character who doesn't want to get his hands dirty until he really needs to/is driven crazy and has a split Goblin personality.

Yes, but let's hope Osborn doesn't turn himself into the Ultimate version of the Goblin! I would rather see his famous halloween suit & gadgets, rather than a Hulk rip-off!

After giving this free flow system deeper looking into, it kinda works for Batman, but it's terrible for Spider-Man, cause:
1. Spider-Man has superhuman strength, he should take down thugs easier
2. What is described to be a button masher is more stylistic and less of a painful button masher than this free flow, and each move actually does have different effect
3. Look at the last line in the point above, yeah, I tried it, but no matter how different the attacks in BAA, the same effect for each attacks, the same number of attacks to subdue each thug
4. How exactly did you believe in this free flow? It's a sore thumbing button masher, and some moves can only be used if instruction to use them is displayed

F*** that over glorified repeated button tapping with little analog dancing

FINALLY someone else who gets it

Did he mention that somewhere before?
