Yeah that's what I meant lol. Do they allow people to bring in cameras at PAX? I haven't heard of this thing before.

Um, not sure if they allow people, meaning 'Joe-Blow' off the street, to record off-screen gameplay vids or not. If there will be a recorded video featuring gameplay I'd imagine we'll see it displayed on one of the big internet gaming sites, i.e. IGN, Gamespot, Gametrailers, G4, etc.

What if the in-game gameplay was actually what we have been seeing?

Everything in regards to the web swinging, combat, web rush stuff, etc has all been actual gameplay. It's a definite good thing in my book that those things look like they could be from a cut-scene rather than be actual gameplay. It looks bad ass. Beenox made a good decision to bring the camera in closer to Spidey and make you feel like you're right there in the thick of it.

What I think everyone else is asking for, is a video showing those different types of gameplay, the web swinging, web rush, combat, in a unedited clip instead of chopping bits and pieces of them together. It's difficult to get a real sense of the action when the gameplay is cut into small segments and welded together.

So what you're saying is that you have no proof that what you're saying is true?

Ok.

dude, wtf is your problem? you always got some stupid crap to say to me. wtf did i do to u huh? why do you always have to act like such a *****e towards me?

anyways what i said was there is a post from a month ago SOMEWHERE in this forum with a link to an article where the developers themselves confirmed that they started work on this BEFORE they worked on shattered dimensions.

but u know what whatever. ur the dude with the title under their name that says "Everything is a lie" and u seem to be acting like u honestly believe that.

I know what i said is true. you don't believe me then have fun searching through a bunch of pages trying to find the post with the article. just stop being a jerk to me all the time is all I ask. kthnxbai

Ok.

What he says is truth and they article that says that has been around for a while.

If you search the earliest articles with developer interviews, you'll find it.

I said one sentence to you and you completely flip your ****. You need to calm down dude.

All I'm saying is I read something different than you did and I'll only believe what you're saying once you provide a source to your claim.

I remember reading that it was in-development before Shattered Dimensions a long time ago also, Not sure how reliable that was but i definitely Remember reading it. Whether or not that's true though is Different.

I don't understand how it could go into development BEFORE SMSD if SMSD was beenox's first spidey game.

But whatever, more development time is good in my book

You bring up a good observation and it all depends on how the shaders will function I guess. As far as the colors being muted, they seem to have gotten away from the whole cell-shading thing so I'd expect the colors to remain constant throughout.
Phew. thats a relief.

Oh and I wanted to share something with the rest of you guys. Last week I asked the good folks at HeroHQ on their facebook page about the bonus costumes from SSD and EOT and if there was any possible chance we'd see them in this game and they gave me a nice little reply without revealing too much. Here is pretty much the gist of the conversation.

Me: "I know Beenox likes to keep their cards close to their chest when it comes to bonus costumes, but I really hope that they provide all of the costumes from Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time in The Amazing Spider-Man. You have no idea how much I would love to use the Scarlet Spider and Ben Reilly Spider-Man costumes when swinging around NYC in this title."

HeroHQ: "Definitely right about the cards staying close to the chest, but as you know on past games, many features do get revealed pre-launch, it isn't all left secret. ;) All that can be said right now is "Stay tuned"!"

Pretty sexy reply huh? Now ordinarly I would take this with a grain of salt, but HeroHQ is literally a liason of activision and works very closely with all of the studios who are developign super hero related games for activision. so I'm feeling pretty stoked because they definitely know more than they are letting on.

Maybe they had some people start work on ASM, while the majority of the company worked on SD? I don't really care, as long as the game is good. Long development times doesn't always mean good game, I mean look at Duke Nukem Forever.

Typing "Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions Development" into Google does wonders.

"Pre-production began nearly 4 years ago." :wow: Holy crap.

"The time spent on TASM is going to be longer than the other two (SD/EoT)." Yeah, I knew it was around the two year mark for the overall production but that's just crazy that the pre-prod stuff began 4 years ago and laying the groundwork. Damn.

Well, if you read the article Pac posted it clearly states that they had a separate team (artists, designers, everything) working on TASM. And you're correct in saying that a long development time frame doesn't necessarily mean it will be a good game but on the other hand, a short development time almost always guarantees a game of lower quality. At least with a long development time there is a greater chance the game will have a higher quality.

Beenox is known for including all sorts of neat extras in their Spidey games, i.e bonus suits, collectibles, figurines, etc. I'd be very surprised if they did NOT have alternate skins for us in TASM and honestly I think the only thing holding them back from doing so, is the licensing issue. However, in one of the recent interviews (either Gametrailers or Gamespot, I think) Dee Brown stated that both Activision and Marvel have been very good about letting them have the freedom to do what they want in terms of their creativity for the game. He said they were both cooperating with Beenox. Sounds promising enough. I'd imagine that the bonus skins may end up being a post game release DLC made for purchase thru the PSN or Xbox Live just like in AC. I'd prefer them free but this is just my own opinion.

Rockstar have been working on GTA V for the last 4 years. So if TASM isn't as great as that I will pull a Joker and blow up their building :D

Since you can repair your costume in Petes apartment in the game, I'm guessing that is where you make the costume changes.
That would be awesome :awesome:

This is what I thought. Because you get to choose to either make DIY repairs or get a fresh costume, I was thinking they could incorporate bonus costumes by having like, I dunno, a huge closet full of different costumes to choose from.

So there was a delay and sometime without working on the game, and another studio took over
Pretty cool

I don't think it will be as great, I hope it turns to be better

that would be nice, still I hope we can access the wardrobe right from the begining of the game that way I can use my favourite costumes right from the get go. And I maybe the only person wishing for this, but we need a cheat code that disables battle damage. I hate the look of battle damage. it's too distracting.

I'll respect Beenox a lot if that happened

I have no doubt that they'll make bonus suits as well, my only hope is that we will see the exact same comic costumes that were used in the last two games. If they make brand new bonus costumes that look more like the movie suit, that could be a disaster. because there are plenty of people like me who would feel alienated if the other bonus suits were left out in favor of movie/comic hybrid costumes. So thats why I'm so excited by HeroHQ's reply because they seem to be confirming that those particular suits are already in the game without saying too much at the moment.

With the ultimate Spider-Man cartoon having a costume never displayed in that comic series, I hope they get over the license stuff and add extra suits

Wait... they're reading these posts too? That's awesome!

In the past SM games I always felt I was watching him doing things (fighting, slinging, jumping, etc) and I always wanted to get closer so I could really do that stuff with him. Like in the 3d GTA games if you press select you really feel like your in that world with (for instance) Nico instead of just watching him from afar.

I didn't wanted to ***** and moan about it to them, thinking it was just something I alone wanted. But they actually did put rearrange the cam this time!

Also the fighting seems way better this time around.
I was getting tired of going all Neo on those thugs. Imo the best fighting scene in SM1 is the one where swings in the chill of the night at the scene of the crime and jumps from on thug to another, kicking some ass:D

Also the graphics! Man... those graphics!
Remember those pre-rendered cut scenes in SM2? The graphics from this game (almost?) is on the same level as that. Crazy right?

But you poster already know all this haha
I'm just blabbering on, being stocked.
Can't wait for more news! ... and finally the game itself!
