You have no idea how funny this is, considering you think the Spidey games are better than the Arkham games. :woot:
I think certain Spidey games are superior to BAA only

You clearly have not grasped anything that anybody has said.

Raised the bar as in NOT BEING ANOTHER ****** SUPERHERO GAME THAT PEOPLE FORGET ABOUT IN A MONTH'S TIME. <This applies to most Spider-Man games.
No I did get grasp of these lines, but to make a game raising the bar, and not being forgettable, BAA shouldn't be the one
BAC did that, but BAA? It's mediocre

As I've said, every game is repetitive to some extent. I'll let you have the Titan (not Golem, dammit) Joker one, but that's it. I personally had no problem with the others. The titan thugs + normal thug battles were nowhere near as mindnumbingly excruciating to fight as some of the stuff in SD, WoS, etc was.
I keep repeating that point about "repetition is not the problem", don't use that pie on my face now
And hey, you get the same boss battle type repeated and spread out all through the game, as if that isn't fun enough for you, you can sit on their backs and make them spank their groups (which is the only positive thing about it)
Deyond that it's not like you repeatedly beat them and step aside like you do in 90% of vg boss fights
F*** WoS (at least being able to toss bosses is nice)
SD boss fights are... pretty neat, little painful

You're wrong in the way that you think the Arkham games are mediocre.
BAA, I didn't say the Arkham games, I said BAA alone, and I'm not wrong about it
I do see what you mean, but I don't agree with you. If you honestly think the Arkham games are mediocre
Again, just Asylum
well... then... I have no words.
Get deeper in the root of the game mediocrity and see why I repeat that line

At the end of the day, you're not going to accept the Arkham games as the superior ones, so there's no point. :funny:
I only talked about BAA cause:
1. It's very repetitive
2. It's very boring
3. 7/10 is fair if you think it's not mediocre, higher is too much
4. BAA is mediocre, BAC is bounds and leaps better

But... honestly, Aziz... if you think the Arkham games are mediocre, you're going to get the odd "HEY!... you're a dodo!". :woot:
Asylum alone, Asylum alone

Apart from your opinions on the Arkham games, you're a cool guy, Aziz.
Thanks, you too

I found most of the boss fights in AA, especially the underwhelming Joker final fight, to be less than satisfactory it didn't really take away anything from the experience of the game.
I list this under "Worst boss fights in video games", shortly under final Venom fight in the helicarrier

I think certain Spidey games are superior to BAA only

...I still can't agree with this, sorry.

Again, I disagree. BAA is miles better than most Spidey games.

Okay, I didn't get the italicized bit... you pretty much repeatedly hit all vg bosses. lol

I agree with the emboldened part though.

Fair enough on the AC thing, thought you were talking about all the Arkham games.

But again, if you think Arkham Asylum is mediocre, you are wrong. At least, you are in my opinion. You can toss out whatever you want, you're not going to change how wrong I think you are. Just how I'm clearly not going to be able to make you realise that AA isn't mediocre.

It isn't. It's the game that finally made us feel like Batman with everything he is capable to do and does in the comics. That's why it was so acclaimed.

Few games accomplish that, which made it even more special when it was released.

Wow, reading these last few pages, i almost though Why Are You Crouching Spock came back.

This.
I downloaded the demo for AA in november of 2010 just for fun...
I went to buy the game the same day. I was blown away. I FELT like Batman and I actually NEVER cared about him before then.

I am now a moderate fan thanks to Rocksteady :awesome:

How can anyone say Arkham Asylum is mediocre? Lol. It made you feel like Batman or even a superhero in general.

I love Arkham Asylum; and Arkham City was my favorite game of 2011.

This is pretty much the general consensus of AA. I agree with the above comments and again I think AA is a fantastic game, this coming from a guy that is not a fan of Batman. AA and AC for that matter will rest comfortably in my collection for years to come.

Anyways, let's move on from the Batman stuff and talk some more TASM, shall we?

Bonus suits have been confirmed via a Tweet from Dee Brown. Which ones will be included? Which skins are a must have for you? And what do you think the design will be of the alternates??

For me, I want the 616, Black suit, Future Foundation, Scarlet and Ben Reilly. Everything else after that is just more of a bonus. But I wonder if the design of those suits will mirror the new design of the movie suit or will it be based off the traditional designs. Hmmm.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the comic suits designed as though they were in the same style as the movie suit. By that I don't mean that they simply switch the colours but look like the comic suits were similarly redesigned by the people who designed the movie suit.

As for Arkham Asylum. Brilliant game, if anything Arkham City didn't improve enough on Asylum. I thought City was also great, but I thought that in a lot of places it was more of the same, just expanding on what Asylum brought us. Not to mention I was disappointed that we never fought Hugo and that it was all a ruse by the League of Shadows.

I think they'll just use the skins/models from SMSD and EoT. They've recycled those models once already, so it stands to reason that they'll do it again. They'll probably retexture some of the costumes though but I'll still use them like crazy if they decide not to. If they choose a 616 classic spidey though, which model do you think they'll go with? Amazing from SMSD? the default amazing skin from EoT? Or the alternate ultimate red/blue costume fro SMSD? My money is on the Ultimate version, as it was the "cleanest" model and therefore the nicest looking in terms of asthetics.

That's probably not out of the question for them to import some re-used skins from their previous games, but I hope they don't. Plus those were only available if you had a Shattered Dimensions save and they still had a good few selection of their own suits for Edge of Time.

Besides the classics, like Scarlet, Symbiote, Ben Reilly and others, I really liked the Big Time suit. It's one of the new era suits that I actually liked.
I don't care for the Iron Spider suit. Future Foundation is also cool.

I also like the Identity Crisis suits, like Dusk, Prodigy, Ricochet, Hornet and Negative Zone. It'd be even better if the suits had different attributes to them, like in the PS1 era.

I would like to see the spider armor, FF suit, iron spider, Ben Reilly, Big Time, ultimate, and symbiote.
Idk if Kaines and the Ends of the Earth suits are a stretch, but that would be great if I could get those ones too

The only thing I REALLY want is a civilian Peter Parker skin. They had one in EoT and I really hope they have one here. I loved swinging around as Peter in USM.

I didn't really like the Peter Parker skin from EoT or the [BLACKOUT]CEO business suit skin[/BLACKOUT]. Mind you for this new game he'll look like Garfield and it's pretty likely that they've modelled Peter Parker in game as well (the other movie games did the same).

There's chaos in this place!

IMO, Bane, Ivy and Joker were those I didn't enjoy! However, Killer Croc was awesome and if Scarecrow counts as well, his stages were great and the highlights of the game!

Regarding AC many people say the boss fights were much better and while I agree with that, I still think they were lacking a bit. However, the rest of the game makes up for it alot!

And, whenever I see someone say that AA is mediocre (and that even some SPIDEY games are better) I just don't know whether I should laugh or cry. OK, I laugh.

On those I agree

Even freeze?

I back up what I say, and give pros and cons for each, at least give me credit for that

as they say different stokes for different folks.

On the costume skins, I'd like to see something that the other games didn't have, like Future Foundation, though Ben Rielly & Scarlett is a must, Symbiote and Iron Spider, and I'd like to see Kaine's new costume as a skin too. It be something new for a game. Same for Big Time.

OK the Freeze one was great! It was the only really good one though if you ask me. The Grundy one felt generic and weird. Same goes for Clayface. It's hard to explain but those two battles felt too...unchaotic and predictable, where you jump over his low attack twice, dodge his attack three times, attack him and then do the same over and over 'til he's defeated. Like many bosses in several games. I prefer when there's not a given formula throughout the whole battle. It's exactly the same for Ra's al Ghul, you just repeat doing the same combination of things over and over. I'd have rather liked if those hallucination sequences were taken out of the battle and you just fought one on one against Ra's.

Sure you give pros and cons but I seriously don't get many of your cons, they just don't make any sense to me, even with an open mind.

I love that there will be new costumes, but I just hope the coming "reveals" will be all about those costumes like how they did with Edge of Time, where everytime there were "news" it was a boring costume reveal.

To explain my point about bosses further, what I don't like with many bosses is when you only can attack him in one single way, where you for example has to wait 'til he gets stunned somehow, and there's only one way to stun him. Also, the bosses has its preset combination of attacks so you know exactly when to jump and when to dodge. Ironically, I absolutely adore the old Crash Bandicoot bosses, where this kind of thing is present in almost every battle, but it's because it fits that kind of game. It really doesn't fit Batman. It makes it feel much less epic than it should be. The Freeze battle is great though because it's more creative and feels different from what's been done before.

A battle that I like is the Shocker one in Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro. You can pretty much beat him up in any way you like and it's not like it's impossible to attack him until he's stunned or anything like that. It feels more like a real fight.

Of course, some villain are just too strong for that like Sandman for example, but what I mean is that I want the boss fights to feel like real fights.

I don't think Garfield is going to voice Spidey, I dunno, it seems strange that they are keeping quiet about it this long.

I think we'll see the bonus suits take on the texture of the movie suit. That's just a flat out guess but I'd imagine they'd want to keep some continuity there.

I hope they don't as well but it's entirely possible they'll do that save game thing over again and you'll have the earned skins from EoT available in TASM.
