[The Infernal]

According to several reports on the game the robots are manufactured by Oscorp to "combat the biological threats" within the city. This refers to the animal-human hybrids and of course that includes good ol' Spidey. The robots are certainly not generic and actually play an important role in the main story based on this info. I'm guessing that Smythe will just end up being in the background and won't be an actual boss fight.

I haven't been following everything on what was released about the game, though I at least knew they were connected to Oscorp.

Yeah, it probably isn't likely he's a boss himself. I know he isn't likely to appear in his robot form (not in his first appearance), but I wouldn't mind seeing him controlling one of the bigger robots personally.

I agree about the Spider Slayers. I actually think that concept art with all those cars looks really cool! I think that boss battle will be pretty epic. And fighting Smythe would be nice! Maybe he's the final boss?

Yeah, it could be an interesting 'boss as level' type fight that one. Gives you a good sense of incredible scale. More cinematic.

Wouldn't bet on Smythe being the final boss. Not unless they've played with his back story and he's now the lead scientist/genetic engineer at Oscorp's labs (it could work, I guess). Though personally I'd want to see someone that had more of an impact as main villain.

Smythe is a follower not a leader. I would doubt him being a boss and certainly not the final boss. If he was, I'd be slightly disappointed.

But I agree with you, I think I'd be pretty disappointed too. My hope is still that things turn around in a way you wouldn't expect from the beginning and have Kraven the Hunter become the main villain in the end with an epic battle against him (with loads of traps and Kraven using lots of tricks).

Haha! You seem obsessed with Kraven lol. My original contention was that Beenox was not going to be using any characters/villains from their previous games but since we now know that Black Cat will be in TASM...I stand corrected.

That being said, I'd love to see Kraven end up being in the game. He'd make a great boss, again, and I could see him being the final boss. Not as a mastermind of course but just as an epic final fight.

I read his posts, and this is not what he was saying at all. He was simply saying that you don't NEED to have a character dress ridiculous as your avatar in order to be considered sexy. And I agree. Sure, I'm a heterosexual male, and therefore love the female form and representations of it, but sometimes, in some instances, too much is well...too much. You're purposefully misinterpreting his posts to paint him in a bad light.

It's also funny how you talk about people not moving on when it clearly were you who got upset in the first place about my and some others' comments about not liking her design in this game.

It's been hinted that Morbius will return to the sequel game in his vampire form and I could see Smythe returning as well but in his robot form. So long as we get back the GG, I'll be happy. I really need/want an updated fight with the Goblin. Oh, how I'll be drooling.

Yeah, I'm sorry for bringing him up all the time haha! But the way I imagine it, I just think it would be epic! I love when things like that happen, when you switch focus from one threat to another real one. And I want Kraven to be this serious villain who's not as goofy and cartoonish as in SD.

It just fits perfectly for Kraven to be introduced in the game, hunting down those animal/human hybrids, but he is out there killing, trying to get "trophies", and is out there trying to kill Spidey as well.

His motivation would be that he's drawn in by the allure of hunting hybrids (and Spider-man). Either he crosses paths with Spider-man who sees it as his duty to stop Kraven killing the hybrids or he's targeted directly by Kraven. It could work. I wouldn't lay down any bets as to how likely he is to appear, but it could work.

Haha! It's all good. The cartoony Kraven in SD was done really well and he served a great purpose to the gameplay. His level was my favorite Amazing Spidey level in SD and the part when you play as though seeing Spiderman thru his sniper scope was just bad ass.

TASM represents a more realistic take on both Spiderman, the story, and how the villains 'come to be.' Kraven would probably fit within that mold and we'd see a less cartoony version of him.

It does. I agree with you. Kraven would be an easy fit to the story and I'd love to see him and Spidey throw down again.

I think Morbius was used in one of the versions of either SM2 or SM3. I don't remember which one but I think it was SM3 for the PS2. Anyways, yeah, he's a villain that really hasn't been used and would make for some great gameplay.

GG is my favorite Spidey villain. Not only that but I really love Beenox' style and design choices and would love to see what they'd do for him. They also do a pretty good job with boss fights so I'm sure I'd be blown away by a GG appearance and fight.

The thing is, I never said she NEEDS to dress ridiculous as well. I said that I hated the design because 1) the glasses look bad IMO and make her look old, 2) her face looks weird and 3) I didn't like the biker design on her clothes. I never asked for more cleavage or bigger breasts or anything like that. I liked the EoT look more simply because of her face. But then he called me a kid and made the assumption that I asked for a pornstar look just to have something to drool at. Of course I responded to that because I don't like being offended like that just because I don't share his opinion.

I don't think that will happen. Though wasn't Conners confirmed to appear? I'm not sure about the Lizard though (which would probably be dependant on the film's outcome).
