AMC orders 'Preacher' pilot.

Seems like a suitable actor to me. So far I have yet to hate any of the cast choices so not too worried about who they pick for Jesse.

Gilgun is amazing from the this is England series and misfits he can really play it serious and for laughs which is perfect for Cassidy....hopefully they can cast someone as Jesse who gels with Ruth and Gilgun because that is the major aspect of preacher as a whole the relationship between the 3 main characters.

Well considering Dominic Cooper is rumored to be in the running to play Jesse and he is dating Ruth Negga in real life that would pretty much be a safe bet for good relationship chemistry.

I wonder if the MCU fanboys/fangirls are gonna throw a ***** fit about Howard Stark possibly being cast in a DC property even tho this isn't technically DC. :o

we traded Ryan Reynolds so he can take his righteous place as Deadpool. Marvelites gotta give us something :p

i STILL want Dom to have a bigger role as Howard in the future Agent Carter seasons.

Well number one, I cite Gigli as exhibit muthaf***ing A as an example of that going terribly wrong.

But TBH, I'm not a big fan of real life couples playing couples in a TV/movie. I hope that this show really takes off and does a 6-7 season run. If those two were to ever break up, s**t would could get weird and hurt the show.

Eh nah I wouldn't worry about that. They are professionals. It is their job. They get paid to act. Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter were playing adopted brother and sister on Dexter while they were married in real life AND got divorced in the middle of the shows run. Talk about a weird situation. But they remained professional through the rest of the seasons.

I thought they were broken up. If they were and remained on good terms, it'd add even MORE chemistry.

I'm pretty sure it's who we all expect it to be. Wake me when we get our first shot of the principle cast in full wardrobe.

I'm excited as hell for this and have never read the comics. How come this doesn't have it's own forum though? This is a CB property right?

Lucy Griffiths Cast
Griffiths will co-star as Emily Woodrow, a no-nonsense single mother of three. Emily's a waitress, the church organist, bookkeeper and Jesse's loyal right hand. Stoic and strong, wise beyond her years, she can’t help but have a little thing for Preacher Jesse.
Original character?

I wonder if they'll keep the whole plot with Cassidy and his past. (I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read the book)

she was also in Constantine pilot.

So when's Seth gonna announce Jesse?

How could anyone see her work in Constantine and decide she should be an original character in yet another DC/Vertigo comics TV adaptation?

Seriously, she was so bad they wrote her out of the show and re-shot the pilot episode. Aside from Goyer she may have been the single biggest reason that show failed.

Congratulations, you're a ridiculous person.

I don't want to get my hopes up. I did with Constantine, and then they kicked her out after the first episode. Considering this is an original character that seems quite possible again. But if it works out, fantastic. :jd:

I personally quite liked her, and was disappointed when she left. I am very happy about this.
