I agree. Cooper plays such a minor role in MCU anyway.

I wonder if the MCU fanboys/fangirls are gonna throw a ***** fit about Howard Stark possibly being cast in a DC property even tho this isn't technically DC.

Well considering Dominic Cooper is rumored to be in the running to play Jesse and he is dating Ruth Negga in real life that would pretty much be a safe bet for good relationship chemistry.
Well number one, I cite Gigli as exhibit muthaf***ing A as an example of that going terribly wrong.
But TBH, I'm not a big fan of real life couples playing couples in a TV/movie. I hope that this show really takes off and does a 6-7 season run. If those two were to ever break up, s**t would could get weird and hurt the show.

Original character?Griffiths will co-star as Emily Woodrow, a no-nonsense single mother of three. Emily's a waitress, the church organist, bookkeeper and Jesse's loyal right hand. Stoic and strong, wise beyond her years, she can’t help but have a little thing for Preacher Jesse.
I don't want to get my hopes up. I did with Constantine, and then they kicked her out after the first episode. Considering this is an original character that seems quite possible again. But if it works out, fantastic.

I personally quite liked her, and was disappointed when she left. I am very happy about this. How could anyone see her work in Constantine and decide she should be an original character in yet another DC/Vertigo comics TV adaptation?
Seriously, she was so bad they wrote her out of the show and re-shot the pilot episode. Aside from Goyer she may have been the single biggest reason that show failed.
