This is nothing more than taking advantage of the gullible and ignorant Christians, and considering all the crap that I have to deal with from Christians (and I'm not even Athiest!!!) I feel this is just!

(disclaimer: I don't believe that ALL Christians are gullible, naive, and ignorant. I know many very educated, smart, logical people of the Christian faith, and I respect their views and beliefs even if I disagree.

The particular breed of Christian that I refer to is a special breed; one of intolerance, hatred, and ignorance. These are the "bad apples" that unfortunately ruin it for everyone else.

If you are of the Christian faith, and not of that "special breed", but rather, educated, intelligent, and tolerant, then you do not fall in the category of Christian that I take delight in seeing scammed).

If the church is taking advantage of the people, yes. Typically, it's assumed that the money is either going towards the church itself, to pay for upkeep, or to a charity. If that's truly the case, then it's not taking advantage of people's faith, it's a donation they give willingly towards a good cause. If the priest goes ahead and spends it on drugs or hookers, then he's taking advantage of the people's faith, both in God and in him (and he shouldn't be a priest in the first place).

They're being told that their money is going to God. You shouldn't take advantage of someone who wants to find, please, and know God by taking their money, right? Even if you use it to build a church the reason that they GAVE it to you was because you told them that God wanted them to fork it over.
