Anderson, Hoffman Reteaming on Master

And perfectly executed, imo. Any director who can get Willis to wipe that smirk off his face and act, while at the same time making Norton not look like his usual stoned self (as of late) wins major points in my book.

But did he win a trophy for being an athlete?

Ah yes, it's a horrible omission on my part that shall be rectified soon.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind.

Didn't Wes want to do the Goon?

I don't know about The Goon (Which is the best comic book ever). I knew he wanted to do a horror movie of some kind in the future. Or was it sci-fi?

For the record, a Goon film has been in development at Blur Studios with David Fincher. Its animated and they've done a lot of tests and other kinds of work but its kind of stalled out as of late.

Wes Anderson does not equal Paul Thomas Anderson

Two different people, let's talk about Paul Thomas Anderson plz.

Just saw The Master......... it's was okay. Well acted and well directed. This is definately open for interpetation. Not cut and dry with beginning and an end.

So nobody besides like 3 members have seen The Master yet?

Damn shame.

I saw it opening day, but didn't post about it. Great movie, but it'll take another viewing or two to fully click.

Damn shame.

I'd say at least a dozen posters watched it.

The real shame is that there's still people watching Resident Evil, House at The End of The Street & Taken 2 instead of The Master.

I saw it, I thought it was alright. A good movie, nothing more nothing less. Phoenix delivers a great performance

I honestly don't see the love for Wes Anderson... his movies are smug and quirky just for the sake of it. Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Moonrise Kingdom especially rubbed me the wrong way (especially the latter two). I liked Bottle Rocket and portions of Hotel Chevalier... but that's it. Everything else he's done turns me off.

Paul Thomas Anderson actually has talent, and if his movies are hit-or-miss, he goes for interesting stories and refreshingly adult subject matter. He deserves the following he's built up over the years with Boogie Nights and Punch Drunk Love (both really good movies). I just don't think The Master is as good as those, even though it has a pair of Oscar-worthy performances.

Shame you don't like Wes, but to say he's not talented... yeah.

I'm eagerly anticipating the Blu-ray release. This is something you have to experience several times.

Watching the Blu-Ray last night, I saw that Freddie's tears during the first processing scene didn't show up as well as they had in the theater and I couldn't at all see Peggy's eyes turn black. Those were two moments that struck me in the theater, especially Peggy's eyes. Guess it is time to buy a new TV.

I watched it a few days ago. Feeling that it will take more than one viewing but I thought it was visually stunning and Jonny Greenwood's score is once again outstanding.

Phoenix was so into his role that it looked painful.

You discover something new with each viewing. What a f**kin' masterpiece.
