Instead he let Bana sit on the sidelines and watch Lee's ego take over. That sucks, I think Bana could have been a terrific Hulk given the chance to wear the gear for the animation or what not.
Actually no, it wasn't him sitting on the sidelines. Eric was no where near ILM for the many months of post production. If Ang didn't step in and setup himself at ILM(for several months) the mocap work was gonna be done by the staff of ILM, which back then was the standard. And they were planning to make it work ala WWE, lots of wrestling influenced fighting. Casting an actor onset and to do mocap was still pretty new in 2001/2002. Eric wouldn't of been able to add much to the role. Today with all the stuff people are learning from how Weta and Peter Jackson use cgi it would be a different story. Eric could add alot to the role, both on set as Hulk(though never seen, as he would be replaced by cgi Hulk ala Gollum), and working on mocap to gel the character and scenes together as worked for Gollum and Kong.cheney4prez2008 said:Instead he let Bana sit on the sidelines and watch Lee's ego take over. IF you had of bothered to watch the behind scenes you would see it was Ang saving the cgi Hulk, not the other way round. If Ang had treated this like most directors, the final product would of been worse.
I suggest you actually watch the behind scene features and see what actually was taking place(and what the ILM staff was saying) rather than jumping to conclussions.
