Hey players.
Recently got a DVR hooked up in my apartment from Time Warner. It is by far the coolest gadget I've ever owned. And that's not even the best part.
I'm currently getting tons of video on demand cable channels totally free. This includes Anime Network, Adult Swim, and G4 which I've been dying to see on demand for a long time.
Anime Network rocks. Let's you sample multiple episodes from a group of shows and it alternates every couple weeks from the looks of things. Been able to watch more Get Backers and Rahxephon which I was never able to see before. Buying anime volumes is a little pricey so this kind of helps. No cutting or editing, no commercials, well there are. There are commercials at before the start and after the end of the programs. Guess they got to get revenue some way. There's also a nice little promo feature where ADV previews there new releases and upcoming anime con appearances.
Adult Swim is great. They do have some anime shows on there. Currently the final episode of Big O and several episodes of Samurai Champloo which I didn't get to see yet. So that rocks. First season episodes of Ghost In The Shell as well.
In case anyone's wondering about what I'm paying for my DVR service. Time Warner gives me my first 2 months free, and all subsequent months it costs 8 dollars a month. So if you are in an area where you can get hooked up with this, it's totally worth it.
