Another Marvel book has bit the dust!

MTU was a fun book, and the best incarnation of the book yet. As I said, adverts aside, 25 issues is a long enough run that Marvel let the book stand as it was, poor sales aside, for a bit. I mean not even THE THING got that. It was a fun, non "shock" value "adventure" title, but that seperateness from the rest of the MU probably did it in.

For those who may miss that sort of thing, though, I recommend McDuffie/Kolins' BEYOND! mini series. Its 6 issues long and the first shipped last week, and it seems to have that sort of "fun superhero guilty pleasure" quality that MTU had.

Yeah, I found a copy in my pullbox last week and dismissed it because I hadn't heard of it, was trying to save money and it promimently had spider-man featured on the cover - (I'm a bad person I know).

But I've heard a lot of good things about it so might as well pick it up.
