All indications seem to be this is going to make all the money. It apparently killed at CinemaCon. I love the footage I have seen so far. Looks like the perfect continuation of the first film.I hope this isn't a cars 2 bomb waiting to explode.
I would assumed it works the same way the first film did, with the narrative being more focused on the lost one.I hope this is good... but there isn't much that I see that gives me the feeling this will be. I don't get this. Is Dory the main character or is she missing like Nemo was?

You might be right. Though again, everything I have seen and heard has been very positive. If they can make that work then great. I always kind of saw her in that same Captain Jack manner. The scene stealing, fun and funny supporting character who everybody loves and is the most popular in the film. I'm still skeptical though. I'm afraid Dory's schtick will just get old in this movie because we're seeing more of it and becomes disproportionate of the more straight characters to level her out.
I just personally haven't seen anything from this film that seems like it's unique. For God's sake, they actually used a Peter Gabriel song in a Pixar trailer. Not just any Peter Gabriel. THAT Peter Gabriel song. That's been used a gazillion times in marketing for cheese whizz to socks. Nothing I see is inspired. Yes, it's a sequel, but this fundamental idea just reeks of brand, brand, brand, product, product, product.
I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion but am I the only one who didn't like Dory and found her to be a bit annoying (and not just because of memory loss)?
I like Marlin's straight man (or, um, fish) humor more, but Dory is pretty entertaining too. I'm not sure we needed to know more about her though.I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion but am I the only one who didn't like Dory and found her to be a bit annoying (and not just because of memory loss)?
