One thing is for sure. After IW, This film is in a HARD position. It's coming after the pinnacle avengers film that a lot of people are going to see, and this film is set before it? I think audiences could be fatigued and maybe check out.

I do wonder if it will tie into or acknowledge IW in some way, or if it's going to be a back to basics adventure movie that starts and ends without acknowledging IW at all.

IWs spoiler what I am expecting in this.

[BLACKOUT]IWs happens so quickly seemed like in a spann of 5-8 hours. Tony and Pepper had an 8:30 appointment they were already out and about. I think Ant-Man & wasp easily happens the day before or even farther back stretching into the day of IWs. They mentioned Clint taking Scott back so Hawkeye should appear. Anyways once they go subatomic and enter that realm they will have no idea what is going on. I expect them to return with Janet happily ever after...NOT! After Hank and Janet reunite Hank will probably be dust from the snap happening. Scott will race home and Cassie will be there and then she too will be dust. That is Scott's main reason for living so no doubt he will try to get in touch with everyone. Every frachise lost someone from Thanos I think those two will be lost in Ant-Man.[/BLACKOUT]

Scott and Hope will join Avengers 4. I mean surely that is inevitable that Ant Man and Wasp join the Avengers and become future Avengers going forward. However, Scott going underground makes sense especially if Cap helped bust him out of the Raft in Civil War. It begs the question on if Scott does help going forward then wouldn't that put his daughter in even more danger? Dare I say it Maggie and Paxton too would be because of Scott. However, Scott has his own issues to deal with in his own film.

Was really looking forward to a new AM&W trailer after hearing about what they showed at CinemaCon but now it'll probably be another month until we see it.

I was actually thinking that this film was to act as a prequel to Infinity War, however, considering Scott's status (in Infinity War) I'm actually wondering whether this film takes place between Infinity War and Avengers 4.

It'll focus on the characters, and somewhat the fallout of the world, whilst also surrounding the quantum realm etc. It's fair to say that these two characters will play a fair part in the sequel to Infinity War, and there's rumours that Scott's daughter is much older than she may otherwise have been (even recast).[/blackout]

Thus, I'm now wondering whether this film slots in between Avengers 3 & 4, and will, in part, deal with the repercussions of what transpired.

Yeah I think you could be right and this movie takes place between IW and Avengers 4 like somewhere in the middle

Yeah I really don't think so. Its ending may be right after IW ending or during it but the whole movie? No Way.

I’m betting it starts after Civil War. In IW, Rhodes says it’s been a couple of years so there’s plenty of time for the events of this movie to take place. As others have speculated, I can see them going into the Quantum Realm and come out after the events of IW.

It's because of the World Cup. I'm in the US and I still think it's a dumb move. It's not like the games are going on 24/7. There's room for both to co-exist.
