So I was just curious as to how many whiteys do we have here out there that are huge fans of rap/RnB and how many black ppl just dig Country music like Kieth Urban, shania twain or get mellow with some Jack Johnson?

"Whiteys" "you white ppl" Oh the hilarity.

hmmm I would never have guess from you black sabbath avy

I hate rap. with a passion.
I don't consider it music.
I like some country, but not all of it. Most of it's cheesy crap.

I was standing next to a chick on the bus, real cute little Caucasian woman.
"Smack That" was blaring from her iPod.
Then next up was "Promiscuous".
And then the subway came and she got off and I didn't get to hear the rest of her playlist.

So they are out there.

im not lying when i say i listen to just about everything.

my ipod is full of a wide variety of music. i love the lyrical content of country, but i also love the entertainment of hip hop. not saying hip hop and the like doesn't have lyrical value, i was just trying to show a different side of the spectrum.

my largest collections of music genres are country, r&b, and oldies and what i classify as alt rock/soft rock.

Erm....why are we asking if white people like rap when clearly it is in the mainstream, hence, tons of white listeners?

Where's the option for women of color? :cmad:

I've seen Garth Brooks and Vince Gill in concert. :yay:
I don't know how Garth gets in those tight ass jeans.

I think that anyone who doesn't open up to different types of music at least once is at a major loss. Most of my favorite musicians, singers, and rappers dabble into other genres.

Remember when Nelly and Tim McGraw made that song together? It was played on both BET and CMT.

ying yang twins and maroon 5 have a pretty decent track too, but i doubt they'll ever play it on the radio

The lead singer of Maroon 5 worked with both Alicia Keys and Kanye West, I think. Of course, Maroon 5 already uses some kind of rock/blues fusion.

I'm not a huge fan of rap, as much of it is so stupid that I cant stand it...I mean, there's only so many times a guy can repeat "ass and tities" over and over again before you just want to shoot him in the head and skull f**k the hole while screaming "where's your big bootied b**ches now, a**hole"...and the rap I do like is usually the more classic rap, ala Dr. Dre, or really hardcore and over the top, ala Wu-Tang Clan...

I thought so too, haha. But I gave "Dance with the Devil" by Immortal Technique a listen. Insane stuff.

I rarely listen to music with black people in it.

i can't say that i really care for either, but i know that the second Garth Brooks comes out and covers a TuPac song i'm gonna buy all the damned singles i can find to show MY support!

sort of like how I dont like Metal Gear, and I dont like Smash Brothers, but the second they announced Solid Snake was in Smash Brothers for Wii I knew I must have it?
