Transformers Any plans for Tranformers: The IMAX Experience?

yeah...that'd suck if they decide to IMAX Die Hard but not Transformers. *crosses fingers, toes, and limbs*

I keep hoping it´s going to be playing at the IMAX here cause I recently saw that the new FF was playing there and couldn´t help but wonder why a crappy movie like that would play at IMAX but not Transformers so they better play it at IMAX :ninja: , hate that i have to wait till the 20th to see it here :(

Having just seen TF i must say this is the kind of movie that is made for IMAX. There's so much action and detail that only giant screens can do really it justice IMO. If this movie turns out to be a big hit (i think it will) i hope they use some of that money to remaster it in IMAX format an preferably i would like some of the battles in 3D too.:woot:

I loved Batman Begins and the follow-up TDK is looking good but how can those movies get preference from IMAX over movies like Transformers or even X-Men 3.

Oddly haven't seen any pre-orders around here, unless they haven't updated or plain don't have it Monday?

DH actually seems more like it was for IMAX since it did not have the 'this film was not made for IMAX and does not resemble the sound and image quality of a regular IMAX film" message. So, I don't really know about that one- may have just chosen not to have that message.

I bought my tickets today and it's pretty much a confirmation that there will be no TF: Imax. :(

I can really see paramount wait, and after Harry Potter is done start the ad campaign. "see big f*#king robots on the biggest screen in town"

I saw a transformers poster at my local IMAX months ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they put a non 3D version in IMAX's after the traffic starts dying down to get the repeat viewers... Come on is there any of us that would not go see TF again if it came to the IMAX? I know I would be there. A good way to get two admissions out of one person ain't it?

IT'S AT IMAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll have to refund my tickets and change them to being IMAX tickets, but fck man- yippie ki yay mother fcker- giant fcking robots on a giant fcking screen!!!!!

YES!!!!!!!!

I think I'm going to go see it in IMAX second time around, the screen was really blurry with DH- so, think first time will be in the DLP theater (digital projection- HD quality)

Oh boy I hope they play it at the IMAX here :( cause the new Potter movie starts playing at the IMAX on the 12th here and Transformers opens on the 20th here

Did your theater of DH and FF IMAX? If so- yes, definitely. If not, don't know what to say- maybe maybe not.

I think either they were waiting for people to buy tickets and then do the IMAX thing or they listened to us and then said "oh snap we can make a kick ass amount of money" and then put it in IMAX. Either way- DLP first then Imax, DH was blurry as hell for me in IMAX and they never fixed it. Don't want my first viewing of TF to be like that, so just out of precaution going DLP first round (probably will end up seeing the film a total of six or more times- just like SM3) and then IMAX.

DLP is CRYSTAL CLEAR IMAGES. Fckin' amazing, saw POTC3 like that and it was really good picture.

what r u TALKING about?! THERE IS NO IMAX TF MOVIE! Although....Rob Zemekis's Beowulf movie WILL be in IMAX 3D, BABY!!!! just heard!

If ANY movie should have been released on IMAX this year, TRANSFORMERS should have been it. What a wasted opportunity.

Transformers was released in IMAX. But, it was just the regular film shown on the IMAX screen. Didn't get to see it though. the film crashed during the previews.

I'D LOVE 2 see ths in IMAX 3D....but.....they've would've announced it a long time ago....sorry....

I hate to say it but he has a point, Bay would have been all over it by now.

Blame Paramount. They don't have the goods to produce IMAX movies yet. :down

WB would have let Bay shoot the movie in IMAX formate if he/Spielberg had gone there.

But I could see some severe fighting over distribution rights. (i.e., toys)

I can't believe of all the movies this summer, that this one didn't make it to IMAX. It boggles the mind.

REALLY Giant Robots are Coming!

Director Michael Bay's Transformers has already reached $633.5 million worldwide in tickets sales (on a budget of $150 million), but we're thinking fans will want to head back to theaters when his "Giant F**king Robots" will live up to that title even more.

ComingSoon.net/SuperheroHype.com has learned that Paramount Pictures will rerelease the summer blockbuster in IMAX theaters on September 21 with more footage than you saw in the conventional theatrical version.

What? We don't know, but we can't wait to hear Optimus Prime's voice in IMAX's digital speaker system, or see the robots battling it out on the giant screen!

Wasn´t a great movie, but this should have been at the IMAX in the first place

I hope the new scenes will be robot action oppose to more human dialogue...

There ya go! new scenes. Prob going to grab some shots from his old movies, like he already has, and incorporate them into new shots of the bots.

Is it possible for two dreams to come true at once?

Yes it is!! On Imax and with cut scenes thrown back in! I'm definetly going to prebuy my ticket asap.

Wow. I may wait to hear from youse guys what kind of new stuff is in it first, but this might be worth the insane money they want for an IMAX ticket. :wow:
