Transformers Any plans for Tranformers: The IMAX Experience?

Wow. I may wait to hear from youse guys what kind of new stuff is in it first, but this might be worth the insane money they want for an IMAX ticket. :wow:

I don't like getting my hopes up but I can't help but hope that they have some more Barricade and Starscream action thrown back in.

Better have more Jazz and/or Ratchet! You know now that i think of it, it's somewhat likely we will get new robot shots. Remember they said the budget was tight so that's why in some cases they didn't show them too much. Well now that the movie made so much back, i think that's what's allowing them to do this. At least i hope...

Not arguing, just curious. If the budget was tight how would that affect showing them more? I'm seriously confused and not questioning your statement. I need schooling lol.:woot:

I doubt there would be a bunch of new CGI scenes. The budget was tight, so I doubt they would have cut out a bunch of expensive CGI scenes. Might just be a bunch more human stuff. :csad:

Unless the put back in whatever happened to Barricade. :cmad:

Well the budget was 150 million, and Bay is known for respecting his films' budgets. If i remember correctly i read in interviews that the reason they kept cutting away from the bots in scenes like the final battle was to save money among other things. Also some scenes you only see a glimpse of the robot such as the "bad mojo" scene with Ironhide. Notice how they dont show him fully and in one shot show his perspective only showing his arms with the cannons. Scenes like that saves them a lot of time and money. Im sure in the script they had many more scenes by the sound of it. Now with the film having made huge profit and all parties gained their pay, they have a little extra to actually finish or build the few scenes with CGI that they might have left out due to budget. I hope this makes sense... :woot:

Oh ****! So your saying that they might have done more CGI work after it was released since it was making good money at the BO? That makes sense now. :woot:

They are milking the cash cow right now. If they have some great new scenes then hey why not!

If its a missing scene between Barricade and BB, then they definitely planned it this way.

Damn. I live in Council Bluffs and we're getting an IMAX Theater in December or January. Not sure when exactly it opens. I hope this is still showing when the theater opens.

REALLY Giant Robots are Coming!

Director Michael Bay's Transformers has already reached $633.5 million worldwide in tickets sales (on a budget of $150 million), but we're thinking fans will want to head back to theaters when his "Giant F**king Robots" will live up to that title even more.

ComingSoon.net/SuperheroHype.com has learned that Paramount Pictures will rerelease the summer blockbuster in IMAX theaters on September 21 with more footage than you saw in the conventional theatrical version.

What? We don't know, but we can't wait to hear Optimus Prime's voice in IMAX's digital speaker system, or see the robots battling it out on the giant screen!

Wasn´t a great movie, but this should have been at the IMAX in the first place

WHAAAAAAA?!!??!?!?!??!? :wow: :wow: :wow:

WhoaWHoaWHOaWHOA!! Can't wait to see it.

HELL YES. Extra robot footage or not, it'll KICK A$$!

If there is ever a movie meant for IMAX, it is Transformers.

Well, they wouldn't put it on IMAX if there wasn't any new robot battles. I hope I'm not wrong.

There won't be more than 15-20 seconds of new robot footage, and of that none of it will be significant. The reason? To keep the budget at $150 million. If they'd made all sorts of extra amazing footage that didn't make it into the movie, the budget would've ballooned higher.

i my god i am SO PUMPED FOR THIS
and it comes out 3 days before my birthday. What a present

Sweet Jesus this is awesome, looks like a perfect excuse to get my sorry arse back to the cinema. *Prays for more robot action*

How could they not put more robot footage? Once the word gets out on the street that there is no more robot footage, people won't go to the IMAX showing. But if there is a tad bit more robot footage, they will rake in more money...Plus nowadays, they always have some more footage saved for the DVD release.

Speaking of DVD release, how will this effect the DVD versions they will release? Won't there be debates on which version is better?

Optimus Prime kicking Barricades ass!!!!! I am definitely there dude.

And yeah, Barricade just doesn't disappear- he fights Prime.

Have to get plane tickets to fly back home, but yeah- going to be sitting in my IMAX theaters come September 21st. :)

When u thought you had to wait 2 years to see Transformers in the theaters again, we get it next month.. how great. Can't wait for those EXTRA'S! They better be good ;)

Probably not, but if there's more footage for an Imax release then I would imagine that we'll see that turn up in an "extended cut" DVD release at a later date. Maybe Christmas at the earliest. :cwink:

Hmmm..If I have the time, I'll definitely check it out.
