Anyone else find the heading of this article....offensive?

No. I find it depressing, but understandable that Tom Jane busted his ass to get a movie that he cares about to get made and it keeps getting pushed aside. I don't blame him for dropping out, but I wish Marvel could get him to reconsider.

they definately waited way to long to get this project of the ground . i dont blame him from moving on but i wish theyd woo him back .

I'm disappointed in hearing this since I don't like it when characters are replaced with totally different people (Ex: Hulk or Aunt Vivian from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air). I'd rather have them not make a sequel at all.

pretty sure 4NutzinYoface was just making a joke about the "Pulls Out" part of the article title.

Not only that but he pulled out "painfully." Ouch!

Look who just came out of the closet!!!

Man are you kidding me? Do you realize what a milf Aunt Viv #2 was? That was the only character replacement I could ever approve!!

i think he means that its offencive because it says
Jane pulls out of Punisher 2 and under it it says, aint it cool news lol

The first Punisher was so bad that I don't think it will matter who plays the new Punisher. Just as long as it isn't Will Smith.

Yeah the whole switching Aunt Vivian from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was unacceptable!

There is only one Aunt Vivian! :o

What?!?! They switched Aunt Vivian out with the Incredible Hulk?! When did that happen?

jk, but can you imagine? "Hey Uncle Phil! Hey Aunt Hulk!" "RAWR!! WILL OUT LATE!!! NOT HOME FOR CURPHEW!!!"

yea I could imagine but Id sure feel sorry for Uncle Phil. Hulk as your wife, poor guy may never be able to sit down again!

whoever is making Punisher 2 better get on there hands and knees and beg Thomas Jane to come back because this movie will flop without him he is 1 bad ass mofo and is an awesome Punisher

Don't feel bad for Thomas Jane, he can still get other roles, it's this new guy replacing him that might not bring in the audience.

What's his name, Ray Stevens, Cat Stevens, Ray Parker Jr.?

Time warp to 2003:

Don't feel bad for Dolph Lundgren, he can still get other roles, it's this new guy replacing him that might not bring in the audience.

What's his name, Jane Thompson, Tom Jameson, Rick Astley?

The first movie was a hit?

The first movie was a hit?

Yes.

$20 million to make. $60 million worldwide gross and another $60 million in DVD sales. That's $100 million dollars of profit. I'd say that constitutes as a hit.

If it's such a hit why didn't the studio fast track the movie? Why did the star leave? Oh! Because it wasn't a hit, if it was the star would have stayed on board for the huge pay raise he's get. The movie's 33 million dollar budget would be doubled...because thats how hollywood works. It was a hit like Daredevil was.

Because they... don't have to fast track a sequel just because one film was a success? Duh, that's pretty obvious. ET was a success to but you don't see a sequel to that, do you?

And Thomas Jane didn't leave because of money, for probably the first time in the history of film, he actually TRULY left for creative differences.

Can you really blame him? He has to sit around and wait for them to jerk him around about when production will start?

I can't believe you are comparing ET to The Punisher! ET was obviously a stand alone film while the Punisher is a dumb (poorly made) action comicbook movie that hints at a sequel at the end of the tortue...er movie.

Jane sure didn't have a problem playing in the first creatively bankrupt movie...I wonder if they actually wanted to make a good movie this time and Jane sure couldn't have that! Either your as bad as DreamCatcher or no dice.
