Apollo 18 Trailer

Well I imagine that was the marketing people, or the producers fault than the director but it doesn't make it any less dumb. They did it in the poster too.:whatever:

BAHAHAHA stupid surprised reporter chick.

HA! Eat it, Phelous, I can do it, too!

I'm sure no one will suffer if you give it a pass.

Seeing as how my movie ticket would have been 1% of the box office take then I am sure someone will suffer.

I am going to make a shaky cam movie about me going to go see terrible movies and having a terrible time and the tag line will be "Find out the reason why he never goes back...to the movies".

It looks bland, generic, and predictable. That's my opinion. I come in here once to say it and leave....but you brought me back. "Find out the reason why he came back...to this thread."

[REC] never gave up their ending, and was better than the US remake... but I'll see it. love this stuff...

You're a couple days late, nobody gives a **** anymore.

I LOVE these 'found footage' movies. I can't get enough of them. The best ones are frightening to me even though I know they aren't real, and I've never gotten that feeling from a standard horror movie. The presentation of these things as if the events really happened add a layer of plausibility that I find really satisfying.

"The Fourth Kind" is the best.

These movies always have such predictable endings now though. Seems like most of them you know , since it's found footage, that everybody dies.

I do tend to like the genre though. Usually the movies are also short too, so even if there bad the pain is quick.

is the whole movie in that square aspect ratio? lol

the day one of these found footage movie has a complete and solid ending ill bump up the rating a whole 2 points lol

The ending to "The Fourth Kind" was far from predictable.

As far as an adrenaline rush, "Cloverfield" was good and somewhat unpredictable.

the fourth kind wasnt found footage..

cloverfield had the same dumb ending

Yeah the 4th kind was hard to classify. Anyway it was a based on a alleged true story, so it was one of those deals where the ending pretty easy to spoil.

Seeing this movie tonight... apollo astronauts actually did see UFOs and have alarming news stories about them.

Bert Ulrich, NASA media liason, told the LA Times,

Apollo 18 is not a documentary.
The film is a work of fiction, and we always knew that. We were minimally involved with this picture. We never even saw a rough cut. The idea of portraying the Apollo 18 mission as authentic is simply a marketing ploy. Perhaps a bit of a ‘Blair Witch Project’ strategy to generate hype.

Where's the press release saying Transformers aren't on the moon or that Captain America didn't help win WWII.

Have any of you seen The Tunnel? I really enjoyed it and thought it was a well done found footage film. The best part is is that they released it on Torrents as part of their marketing campaign, so it's totally cool to go download it.

I'd say the movie was alright. A lot better than PARANORMAL ACTIVITY (hated those films because they said it was a demon when it was hardly a ghost lol). But it didn't really offer that much. Kept the P.A. elements such as surveying the locale at "night." I'd say the sound design did an excellent job in that the film has a slight lasting effect after leaving theaters outside. But, nothing really phenomenal. 7.5/10.

What I did learn:

The government is filled with jerks, like we didn't know that already? Lol. And space rocks are killer aliens that were sent to foreign dignitaries - that part was sadistically comical. Genius whoever came up with that idea... so genius it added the ".5" mark. People outside the US are gonna love it.

This was awful. Boring as hell.

There was a time when I was getting somewhat interested to see where it would go, problelm is it never went anywhere from there. What should've been the build up was the peak for this film.

Would be the worst horror movie of the year if Scream 4 hadn't turned out to be such a horrible SNL skit.

Nothing in the world would want me to see this movie.I thought the preveiws were awful.

I recommend not paying more than $1.50 to see this film.

I used a free regal crown club pass...thank God.

You know a movie is bad when you use one of those and yet still feel ripped off.
