Well, Spider-man TAS was cancelled without not ending the series. Same with the MTV series. And SPU only went for like half a season maybe?

just the old parker luck i guess

Spider-Man TAS is really a great series and I think it has good ratings.

Too bad though

Maybe it's just that the target audience for Spider-man cartoons tends to be children. And most kids these days have very short attention spans. One minute it's "wow SPIDER-MAN" and the next it's "oooh DIGIMON" , etc......
I think that if any Spidey series is to succeed, it has to be just short of spectacular. The art style should be more closely linked to the comics.
One of the things that bothered me about Spider-man tas, was that the characters on the show didn't resemble their comic book counterparts.
Except for JJJ, Harry, Norman, and MJ most of the others were revamped in
one way or another the same goes for the stories. Then there was Spider-man Unlimited the art style was much better, but most of the stories were dead ends. Lastly. the MTV series,
I think it's downfall was that it was set in the movie universe. The producers
had their hands tied as to what villains could be used, the stories that could be told, and how far Peter and Mary Jane's relationship could evolve.
I enjoyed all of these shows, but even as a kid all those little things bothered me. It just felt like a lack depth when compared to the comics. I relly hope that the new series fixes some of those past flaws.

Just my opinion

Well, Spider-Man TAS was Fox's fault. For reasons I can't remember, they just said "lets end the show on a sour note" and they did just that. SMU and SM MTV...just sucked. SMU could not compete with Pokémon AND Yu-Gi-Oh! on Saturdays, and SM MTV...sucked! Both failed in the ratings department.

I liked the MTV series:yay: But Fox cancalled TAS because they wanted Saban{MMPR} to do all their kiddie shows which is pretty gay.

I hardly find that funny. Next person to make a comment like that goes on my ignore list.

So they're still making that show and just not broadcasting it? :o

Spider-Man Unlimited has a really cool costume!

Spiderman TAS had a pretty good run. There wasn't really a lot else they could do. By series 5 the quality of the show had dropped anyway.

in all honesty, tas should have ended a while before....

turning point was it's last decent episode...

never liked any of the six forgotten warriors stuff or the secret war stuff either although the clone saga parts did reveal uncle ben and that was a nice touch.

what started off great ended up having a large majority of mediocre episodes, only about 15 are worth remembering with the rest being bad (although consistent) filler...

In a way..they are.Although Spider-Man:TAS did last the longest.Television stations just dont know how to treat SM.

TAS had its full 5 season 65 episode run. That's how they schedule cartoons.
